And FYI guys we have already identified an issues with the rating dialog in the GUI. We will have a fix out this evening to correct this, so anyone considering grabbing the new version may want to wait 10 hours or so.

Is the version on page 1, under "Download" already the fixed one ?

And having 1.0.2 installed can I install the new version over that, or have I first to uninstall 1..0.2 ?

You never will have to uninstall, you can always just run the new installer and it will automatically upgrade you. As for the new version we are alpha testing it right now, but it is looking good. For any that were experiencing the bug, check the issue on the tracker for this issue, maybe you can help verify the fix.

Once it is verified we will push the build out to everyone.

ok I deleted the file of the old version, but the problem remains, when I start the configuration blocks the screen image as the post above.

I do not know why

I had the same thing, so I renamed my moving pictures database, and reinstalled.

edit:
Actually, this works once only (rather odd) after which it comes up with the same error message, except that it can't load the current version number (1.0.3.XXX)

This did allow me to get most of my movies imported (just a problem with my Animatrix copy which is broken into episodes).

Any ideas?

Moving Pictures RC2 is now available. Identical to RC1 except for fixes relating to MediaPortal 1.0.2 support (Moving Pictures wouldn't launch with 1.0.2) as well fixes for a few of the custom dialogs in the GUI. I highly recommend anyone using RC1 to grab this new version. First post is updated as well.

And this was said above, but just to reiterate:

This version is a release candidate for 1.0 Stable. This means that if no major bugs are found over the next week, this version will be promoted to 1.0 Stable. Our hope is that this will be the last Moving Pictures 1.0 release and we can now start working on new features for Moving Pictures 1.1. To all of you who have braved the last few Beta versions of 1.0, thank you for helping with testing Moving Pictures!

I agree with spragleknas, bit ot but I tried XBMC a couple days back (found the dxva builds) but I just missed too much and especially this awesome plugin!
Me wonders if my php script to slideshow the movies will still work. The DB structure seems kinda stable, which is good for me

I must add my 2p worth - this plugin is one of the 'Must Haves' of MP. I couldn't image NOT using it!
All the team deserve our appreciation for such a fine piece of software
