If you would like to play around with your images though and use the transparency part of PNGs you have a few options. You can use Photoshop to batch convert the images to PNG for example.

Still wont work I need the transparency to show in MP, I have all the covers saved already in the movie folders so there picked up by movinpictures as the png then converted to jpg, So if I just change them back to png all the transparency will have already been lost.

I'll just have to make a image mask to cover the blank parts of the images.

You should be able to rename your alpha-transparant layered PNG images as *.JPG and have them functional as Portable Network Graphic images.

Just adjust MovPic settings to not manipulate them, because it will re-save them in the JPEG format on resize/etc.

Ok I see what you mean that they will retain the transparent properties but the problem is I would have to rename them all in my movie folders where they are located now right? and then movingpictures would see them as jpg already and not change them except for resize?

The problem with that is I have 934 movies all in there own folders with the covers/backdrops/nfo and it would take forever to change them all, unless someone could help me out with a renamer that could do that and not touch the other files.

Do you know of one that would do that? I dont use renamers so no clue myself.

EDIT nevermind I found a program that did it in about 30sec and 1 click

But it still changes them when saving the picture. I set the compression to 100 assuming that meant 100% so it should leave it alone.

How do I hide a certain movie in moving pictures.
I can only see the "ignore movie also for future scans"
I just want to hide it for a certain period.

Easiest way is to add it to the parental control filtering.

But if you ignore the movie inside importer, then you can use the gear icon to enable it again. The re-enable ignored movies however is a "all or nothing" one, you can't ignore 10 movies and unignore 1.

This is an awesome plug-in! Certainly now with the parental controls implemented.

I have to ask a dumb question related to that though;

I activated parental control and released all files that are in the 'children' directory, perfect. Now when I go to moving pictures I only see the files in that directory and not those in the directory called 'parents'. I take it that is by design, they will show after I enter the code?

BUT HOW/WHERE DO I ENTER THE CODE?

A lock shows in the top right, but I cannot navigate there because the top bar moves over it as soon as I go there, is that it?
