I think you mean "problem that has been fixed". Sorry, but this change was done for a good reason (although not one that I understand!).
It isn't very helpful to the hard-working programmers to suggest that they have introduced a problem. Perhaps the authors of MovingPictures need to contact the team directly. Does this problem affect other skins? Maybe streamedMP is just trying to do things which were never intended.
Open source is great, but sometimes it causes its own problems.

I think that's normal behavior. You can set the time after which the background should get updated when scrolling through your movies. If this timeout is set to one second the background changes after exatly this time - to the default in your case.2. All backdrops work fine, but if you scroll past one that do not have backdrop, the next one will be displayed for one second, then it will switch to default backdrop.
