This is due to the loss of movie-xml.com that was used for information and titles for movies.
meligrove is working sort of but not 100%. You must use the IMDB id to locate fanarts.

Use the following format.

http://www.meligrove.com/movie?id=ttXXXXXX

where ttXXXXXX is replaced by the IMDB id.

Example you use http://www.meligrove.com/movie?id=tt0120347 for "Tomorrow Never Dies"

Use the following format.

XBMC / HTPC Backgrounds :: Meligrove :: Movie not found

where ttXXXXXX is replaced by the IMDB id.

Example you use XBMC / HTPC Backgrounds :: Meligrove :: James Bond 007 - Tomorrow Never Dies for "Tomorrow Never Dies"

Thanks for the help.

But one question: Were get I a high resolution picture/wallpaper of "tomorrow never dies" for example. I don't find any, out of the DVD-Covers..

I'll think, this post gets offtopic :(

Sorry, this is not yet implemented. It will be coming soon, but we are focusing on additional data sources right now. Sorry the plug-in is still very new, barely a month old.

Thanks for the help.

There doesn't seem to be any existing backdrop for that one. If you are willing to spend a little time to try to create your own to upload to meligrove though, you might want to check out this thread on backdrop creation.

I made one but uploading doesnt work...
its 720P size and JPG named tt0120347.
I'll try from home tonight

EDIT:
uploading to THEMOVIEDB works... hope you like it....
http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/714

Is Moving Pictures using this db?

Also a suggestion request:
Could the 'resume movie' feature be added earlier then 0.5.8?
imo this is a very key feature for functionality/usability (more so then extra/faster dataproviders) and currently the only reason for me to not use Moving Pictures as the only Movie plugin.

wow ThaClown, thats great. But where do you find the pics for the fanart?

To upload at meligrove it must be .jpg instead of .JPG I think.

Tomorrow Never Dies | themoviedb.org

Great! They have launched the collaboration between meligrove and movie-xml now!
Excellent!

Fforde: I assume you will implement this as source in later release?
I really prefer where everything is user maintained (such as info/backdrops/covers etc)

Yeah I will be integrating themoviedb.org as a source before long. In fact I am have kind of been working with Travis on the site and I will be the one writing the API. With everything else going on right now though, it may not be for a few weeks till the API is ready, and a bit longer after that until Moving Pictures uses it.

@ThaClown:
I realize resumable playback as well as watched flag support are both very important features, and I really will get to them as soon as possible. I use the plug-in too, and these are both features I wish for on almost a daily basis. I have to prioritize though.

I think alternate data sources are more important right now, mainly due to what happened with movie-xml.com. IMDb isn't going to go down or anything but if they change their site layout and the scraper stops working, then Moving Pictures would again be dead in the water until a new release was produced. That is not something I want to see happen again, so I built a scraper engine and I am now putting together an interface to add, update, remove and test scraper scripts. So in the future if the IMDb scraper breaks, it would juts mean a quick update to the IMDb script and then everyone is happy.

So sorry, I guess I am just playing the odds. Like I said, I will get those features in as soon as possible. It's all just one step at a time though.
