Not really anything you can do if the site you get the covers from dont have a cover, until the next release
when it will switch to themoviedb and you can upload your own cover and backgrounds

i'm having a problem with the automatic importing of movies.

my client machine with MediaPortal (RC2) is running on Vista. all of my movies are stored on a server running WinXP in a folder named 'Movies'.

for some reason, Moving Pictures is not detecting when my server is online.

if i tell Moving Pictures that my server is NOT a removable drive, Moving Pictures automatically removes all of my movies from its database even thought the server is online.

if i tell Moving Pictures that my server IS a removable drive, it keeps the existing database as is, but does not automatically import new movies that I have added to the 'Movies' folder (again, not detecting that the 'Movies' folder is available).

when i go to the setup to tell which folders to having Moving Pictures auto scan for new movies, it shows an X for my mapped network drive located on the server - when i click on the drive, however, i am able to browse it. my guess is that the drive/server was offline in the past, and that Moving Pictures is not being updated that they're online now.

Is this a known issue or am I the only one experiencing this?

I have similar problem but not exactly the same: If I turn the client ON before the server, I don't see any movies in MovingPictures inside MediaPortal (but I can play the movies via My Videos), I have to restart MediaPortal in order for MovingPictures to refresh the mapped network drives. I'm not sure if this has been reported before.

I'm using a touch screen, and using the FILMSTRIP view... but when changing between pages the small arrows on the lower, right corner its very difficult to hit with a touch screen using your fingertip... :)
Is it possible to change theese arrow sizes, and where do i find it?

Also, another function that would have been appreciated is a touch and drag function (like clicking the left mouse button and drag to scroll between movies). With this it would be like the Iphone coverflow touch function! This would be reeeeally cool.... and very great for me/us to use with touch screens! :)

Although I know this will not be a priority on your huge list of already other things to do, but i thought i would share my ideas.

This plugin is already very good and i really love it! Thanks for all your hard work and time you guys spending on doing this.

    Best Regards!

That sounds to me like the network drive is not mounted when MediaPortal starts and for some reason the logic Moving Pictures uses to check the files does not trigger the operating system to auto mount the drive. I think if you were to access the drive through Windows Explorer, forcing it to mount, THEN launch MediaPortal, it might fix the problem (as a temporary work around). If you can confirm this work around works I will create an issue on the tracker to get this fixed, really I think Moving Pictures probably should be forcing network drives to be mounted if they are not mounted already.

Any news on the 0.5.6 release?

It will actually be tagged 0.6, and it is coming. There isn't much left I just haven't had much time to work on the plug-in over the last week or so.

your Windows Explorer suggestion works sometimes. i actually have 4 mapped network drives and all have the icons indicating they are online in explorer - i've browsed through all 4 as well. i relaunched mediaportal config and moving pictures config, but 2 of the drives still have the red X overlayed.

EDIT: actually, i just noticed that this is probably a problem with mediaportal rather than Moving Pictures. if i go to mediaportal's config for the standard My Movies plugin, and try to add a folder, the same two network drives show the red X overlay. i will download mediaportal RC3 to see if this has been fixed. thx for the support.

looking forward to 0.6. thanks for the great work!

Hi, I have a new problem with moving pictures (I think since RC3)
    28209d1225286674-moving-pictures-public-beta-0-5-5c-unbenannt.jpg

this strange view appears after stopping a movie
if I restart mediaportal the view will be as always

I'm having the same problem using the aeon skin.

    I have a strange problem.
    like this picture: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...9-moving-pictures-public-beta-0-5-5c-list.jpg
i mostly don’t have the gray behind the letters :(
so its hard to read, description, and read title, also when i click one time to see more info on movie, i cant see the text, many times.
its like the CSS, style or what ever is gone. and its just fanart, and letters on top :(

Is this a known bug? Or is it only me?
Im using skinn: Indego 2.2.. and have copy to the folder the skinn files from Moving Pictures to Indego, skinn folder

Sorry did not see: RoXoR, also has this problem..
Well: RoXoR i to have this issue ;(

Anybody have this (or a fix for this) problem?
