In regards to the multi-seat environment, we can also include the unc path of the movie folder. This way it will be the same for all clients.

I don't think this is an ideal way, but just an alternative.

for now that's the easiest and safest route regarding import paths (for mutli-seat) yes...

But then the server where i run also a client is grabbing the own file over network??
There is no problem whatsoever when you enable this. Yes, you're network stack is addressed. That's it.
It is just a bit of extra maintenance for you :)
When you (locally) map a networkshare to a drive, it's no overhead, extra latency or anything you will experience. This way, all clients will use the same information and same configuration.

This is a really nice plugin! :) However, I seem to be having problems getting it to pickup .iso and .img files. Is there any reason for this?

    Thanks.

Make sure you have these extensions added to the movie extensions list in the Mediaportal configuration

    Hi philljp
I seem to be having problems getting it to pickup .iso and .img files.
You just have to add these extensions as move extensions.
This is done in the general MP config (not Moving Pictures config), Movies/Movie Extensions, and they will be picked up by Moving Pictures.

Thanks guys, im sure I had checked that as they show up ok in the standard My Movies view. I'll check again though.

Also how about folders which contain .vob files from a DVD rip? Moving Pictures has picked up one of these, but not another 2. Anyone know why?

    Thanks.

If it's a complete DVD rip (a folder with a dvd file structure ) only the video_ts.ifo gets added (.ifo should be in the mediaportal extension list). The complete DVD can then be played back.

    kick

I am not able to change the default screenresolution of Moving Pictures to 1080 when using a 1080 skin. In the config I can change the preferred values to 1920 width and 1080 height, upon which backcovers with the correct resolution (1080) are downloaded into my thumbs directory, but Moving Pictures still does not fill my screen entirely. It just fills approximately 3/4 of my TV screen and is positioned in the upper-left corner while the rest of the screen remains black. If I use a skin with lower resolution (like X-Face), then Moving Pictures fills my screen completely. Deleting the cache or thumbs directory, nor the re-install of Moving Pictures and re-scanning do not solve the problem.

Does anyone have a working Moving Pictures with a 1080 skin?

    Anyone?

I think you'll find that UNC's for the local machine will resolve and not go over the network. I use UNC's with playlists all the time.
