excuse me, mpod! I really do not want to spoil the fun of the developpers - that is not my intend. I am really havin' very much respect for all of you guys. I know how hard sometimes software development is as I am owning a software company.

But 'IDWID' [*] is the thing in MP that sometimes spoils my (user-)fun ...

By the way: will there be a .0.5 ? (I only ask "IF" not "WHEN")

thanks+regards

I can understand wewe as well as iPod.

So how about some kind of blog/thread about the ongoing development of Mp
in which only devs can post.

    For example something like:

    Next release: MP 0.2.0.5

    Planned features:

    1) new tv-engine
    status: done/testing/still do to

    2)....
    status: done/testing/still do to

    3)...
    status: done/testing/still do to

    Important bug fixes:

    1)....
    status: done/testing/still do to

    2)....
    status: done/testing/still do to

    3)...
    status: done/testing/still do to

This way users are a bit more informed about the content and ongoing development of the next release/MP in general.

    Regards
    Flo

I like the idea too, but it is hard to implement.

It would mean that someone would need to TAKE THE TIME to do it.
Take the time from something else (either in our outside MP development).
And this someone shouldn't be anyone, but someone with full knowledge of the current status (like mPod maybe).
So I don't think it is going to happen.

On the other hand it might help devs know how the project goes too (although I suspect they already have such a system of their own).

Now please everybody relax. Let them do their (fun-)work that we all enjoy, so that 0.2.1 comes out and we can nag them (with love) about 0.2.2 or 0.2.1.1 or whatever. :D :D

Always this "gimme gimme gimme" spoils the fun of it all. At the end you shout "gimme gimme gimme" to nobody anymore, who knows?

    :D

Reminds me of one Smashing Pumpkins - I am One live footage - "Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme... NOTHING!"

    hehe...

Just a question: Will STB-users be able to use to "old" TV-engine in 0.2.1.0 (or whatever is next)?

    Thanks...
