Similar problem with 669 as I posted earlier with 667,
I will test with the setting at zero and keep clean logs going all evening; a lot of tv viewing, recording etc.

Tested with 12.8 12.10 and 12.11 CATS. 12.11 give the best with MP ie no problems with dvb-t/t2 subtitles not rendering on top,and are my prefeed choice.

I installed CAT 12.10 on my test PC (Xeon X3430 + HD 6670 + Win 7 64 bit + MP latest full Git build + LAV 0.52 using DXVA2 Native) with v669 on default settings + 'EnableDWMQueuedMode' = 1.

Tried to break it playing files and doing channel changes - working fine so far, so I'm not sure what is going on.....although I didn't have DVB subtitles enabled - I'll try that next.

EDIT - seems to be OK with subtitles enabled as well....

Seven hours of viewing with 'EnableDWMQueuedMode' = 0. with v669

No problems with playback of multiple different file types, timeshifting, channel changes etc.

Spoke to soon. Continued with testing and

Freeze while timeshifting and skip, same as when 'EnableDWMQueuedMode' = 1. with v669, needed to kill unresponsive MP and restart.

So either the setting at '1' or '0' causes the lockup/freeze.
Mainly happens when starting file playback.
File type doesnt seem to be relevant, TS, MPEG4, AVI and HD/SD similarly affected.

OK, thanks - can you please try the attached dshowhelper (v670b) - this has some changes and a bit more logging (but I've only quickly tested it, so use with care )

No problems from testing all day. 670b is fine so far.

Have now updated to latest LAV 0.53 and latest MP 1.3 b; will continue testing.

I will test the new version, (670b) also with the registry tweak, LAV 0.53 and MP 1.3.0 Alpha the next few days.. I will report my findings!
