logs will have to wait till tomorrow.. need a keyboard in here and gave mine away  .. need a replacement, heh.

codes are shown in attached image... weird that this as working fine after my post up there in september last year.. just all of a sudden it's become problematic again.. I can only guess windows updates has changed some DLL somewhere or something? cos I've not even so much as installed an application on this box. AV updates occur, but it's clamwin, so it's not interactive.

 .. this has started happening again all of a sudden. quite frustrating... first noticed about two days ago. it's the same system and the only 'changes' are windows updates.

in an effort to remedy, I've upgraded to MP 1.2.2.0 and also applied the latest TsReader_noStopMod29 patch, but mp still hangs going between say tv2 (HD) and Utv (SD)... logs required?

The latest 'noStopMod' version is now v41 -> here <-

BTW - the image shows the video codecs, not the TV ones....

oh sorry.. the late night must've gotten the better of me.. didn't follow that other thread to the end
have updated to version 41 now:D

the problem persists.. it was somewhat improved in that at least now I got sound on the SD channel (after switching from HD one) but no picture.. and then when I went to move to a different SD one from there, she hung again.

I'll duck into town to get a keyboard so I can get some logs logs... not so simple via rdp.

and in my defense of the picture.. I posted the video codecs cos that's what I was asked for, heh.. here's the TV ones...

    Hi,

I think the LAV filters will handle everything. Why not try them for everything appropriate and see if that helps? I certainly have no issues with SD or HD TV.

Sure they are. I use them for mpg, x264, etc.

I don't have an xp system to test on, but probably worth asking which version of LAV filters you have and how you installed it. I am using the mpei installer from

    MEDIAPORTAL - LAV Filters

It's just personal choice, but I like to keep my systems as clean as possible, so my feeling would be to uninstall as many codecs as possible, and then install LAV filters to take care of everything. It's what I did, but I am using W7 and Vista.

yeah, my server is win7 and it's fine.. this is the xp client.. will look at those filters though. thanks :)

.. no good.. tried them and on this system with NZ TV the deinterlacing performance falls apart... blotchy frames and hangs.. even the audio is suffering and I suspect that's due to harder workload on the hardware...
    thanks anyway

started with TvONE (HD) went to Utv (SD). audio was on Utv, but the last image I had seen on TvONE stays on screen.

    any ideas?
