MP hangs going between HD and SD channels (1 Viewer)

Can you attach logs for the situation of starting Utv from the 'tv off' situation i.e. when it works ?

It looks like TsReader isn't detecting the video resolution change (on the channel change), but no idea why at the moment....

cool as.. same issue happens in reverse.. started on Utv (happily) went to TV2 (HD channel) and the last image of Utv stayed on screen whilst audio transferred..

(in both situations) I am able to select to change channels once more, but it hangs on the channel list page and audio disappears.. need to end task via task mangler after that.

Can you try the attached version please ?

It's a dev snapshot, with other changes in it, so use carefully since there may be other issues with it

I'd like to see the logs from it whether it fixes the problem or not, so I can see how it's working.

much appreciated sir... wont be able to kick off the logging stuff till tomorrow night (don't wanna wake up mrs rocky with faffing around with keyboard.. not worth my life! ;-) ) .. but the visual result is that now the screen goes black. audio changes to the new channel (symptom is consistent regardless of direction HD<->SD), and unable to change channels away (via channel up/down button)

fwiw, finding this little script very handy

taskkill /s mp-client01 /im mediapo*

taskkill is native in windows (at least 7).. where my remote client (the bedroom PC) is called 'mp-client01'.

(beats RDPing to the client, then having to reboot cos XP doesn't allow multi sessions the way win7 does)

So this is with v42a ?

(Note: I realised I left something in the code I didn't intend, so I've replaced the download with v42b, but it won't change the zapping behaviour etc).

but the issue is consistent on 42b. I am noticing a bit of lag between menu screens too... but that may be my imagination


issue is the same, regardless of Def direction still too.

tomorrow eve I'll be in a position to make some logs... thanks heaps for cracking into it though

hi again.. attached the logs.

ending in 29 was:
HD->SD (TV3 -> prime TV)


one ending in 30 was:
SD->HD (prime TV -> TV3), also tried to go on to the next HD channel (TV2) after that too.. audio disappears at that point, and black screen

I used prime TV cos the UTV )tonight) had "no signal" beside it (although I suspect that may be the name of the tv programme )
