Hi all,
I would like to have the trancoding funktion in mp -BUT I don´t have a TV card , my recordings were from the dbox (TS or mpg) , so the trancoder don´t find any recordings. Is there a chance to choose the path for recordings? i mean all my vids are on H:/ and MP is installed in C:/ .
How could I manage it?

You have to set the directory (where recordings are) in shares of myvideos. Then in transcoder plugin you set myvideos as media source ("compress" window) and you can navigate through your files.

Hi,

I set the plugin (ver 0.7b) to extract DVR-MS file to MPEG2 before transcode, but the conversion start "on the fly", without conversion to mpeg2, so audio stream is out of sync on 2 pass conversion.. I installed PowerDVD and the result is the same. What's wrong?

Fabrice, this plugin is gorgeous!!! Exactly what I've been longing for in a transcoding plugin. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please keep up the good work. I successfully managed to transcode an old dvr-ms recording into an AVI, and it looks great with the two-pass encoding. I think this plugin definitely deserves to be included in the svn going forward.

Couple of things to put some polish on the plugin:
-The completion % never reaches 100 or "completed", it always stays at 99% until you hit refresh.
-Should have an option to not append the .[Transcoded with profile xxx] to the filename

It works - the only mistake was that I´m using Replicantskin which is modded by myself with a black Background , so that I couldn´t read the text.
But I guess the xml for replikant needs to be updated or modded , right?

Ok i will fix the completed (100%) bug and put optional the suffix in the filename.
Tomorrow i deliver a new version.

I would also add in this version teh CD source and TVE 3, so i have some question ?

For TVE3, you use a Database, do you know where are the settings (on file system) to configure the access to the database ? and do you use a database user to connected TVE3?

Thanks for a great plugin.

At the moment I have some problems with converting large files. I have recorded the files in mpeg (TVE3) and want to convert them to XVID using a 2 pass conversion. The problem is, that the audio is out of sync.

My setup is as follows
- Transcoder typer: FFMPEG
- Number of Pass: 2
- Video format: XviD
- Audio format: MP3
- Video bitrate: 1536kb/s
- Audio bitrate: 96kb/s
- Video Resoultion: 720x576 (PAL)
- Video Frame Rate: 25fps PAL
- Video Aspect: 4:3
- No additional parameters
- Delete original file: No
- Stop encoding process after: 3 Hours
- For DVR-MS file, convert in MPEG2 before the transcoding: No check mark

An additional question:
Concerning the video aspect ratio - isn't it possible to set this as "auto" so it'll be the same as the the original file?

The sync problem - could it be caused by changing the aspect ratio from 16:9 (in the original file) to 4:3 in the converted file?
