MP plugin for Video Transcoding (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I set the plugin (ver 0.7b) to extract DVR-MS file to MPEG2 before transcode, but the conversion start "on the fly", without conversion to mpeg2, so audio stream is out of sync on 2 pass conversion.. I installed PowerDVD and the result is the same. What's wrong?

Solved the issue by downgrading to PowerDVD 6, the plugin works fine!

Best recording video resolution for my ATi TV Theather is 576x576 or 704x576,
so, do you mind add those setting in the next version?

Don't hesitate to share your profile settings , to find the best paremeters tuning. the goal is to include theses best profiles by default in the plugin.

p.s. I noticed that now the transcoding is VERY much faster (1 hour and a half for 20 minutes insted 3 hours, elapsed until today). I only added -passlog option. Has something changed?
p.p.s. I selected the wrong profile, it was a 1 pass encoding, so this is why it was faster

Bug: if you set "delete original file after encoding", the file deleted is the encoded one and not the original:

Thanks for your test. Do you have any audio issue in 2 pass mode with FFMPEG ?

The goal it is just to reproduce the problem, it is possible to post the original video which you try to transcode (only 5 min) ?

Thanks for your test. Do you have any audio issue in 2 pass mode with FFMPEG ?

Yes. It comes where there's a skip in dvrms original file (quite often, here at my home at least). In this case the audio/video sync goes crazy. I was not able to test if the problem is already in .mpg file, as I am quite sure it is not.

I attached the file at the point where the skip is.

p.s. (could be the video VBR the one to blame as Virtualdub suggests?

Ok i understand better, so VirtualDub is an video encoder ? if we encode in VBR the problem can be fixed ?

Here a small update:


1. add CD source ( to transcode some videos file directly from cd)
1. fix the job status issue, normally when the encoding is finished ,100% appears
2. remove the suffix at the end of filename
3. fix delete original file.
4. add new video resolution (576x576, 704x576)

Current open issue:

When you transcode a video which contains different freeze (cause by no tv signal during a short period, different disk write problem) , you obtain transcoded video with audio/video sync problem. Currently i work on this problem.


Extra:
Someboy has use ComSkip to remove the advertising in video ? if yes it work correctly ? i would integrate it in the plugin ? what do you think ?
