Thank you very much, I proceeded as described and will watch it again.

I briefly tried the x64 version, but nothing was copied from my x86 installation. That was too much work for me in the short term. It would be great if the x64 setup took over the plugins including settings, skins and also TV server settings. Otherwise you have to think about a thousand things when migrating.

    This post describes the procedure that I used when I migrated from MP 1.31 32-bit to MP 1.33 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit. Note that:
    • The file "MediaPortal.xml" contains the MP settings for the base product.
    • TV Server's "Export" facility can be used to export all of your TV Server settings (including channel definitions and scheduled recordings) to a separate file.
    The above two files contain the vast majority of the settings for the standard product (I cannot swear that they contain everything). However, optional extensions may have their own config files, so you would need to save and restore those (I don't use any optional extensions other than PowerScheduler, so I cannot comment on what might be needed).
