MP Tv Series processes file doesnt move it (2 Viewers)

LOL now it is 12... I dont see the downside allow the ability and have one of those fancy tootin checkboxes to enable/disable...

Well, thats always easy to say. A downside is it takes development time away from other features. Another is it requires maintancene in the long run.

I'm not saying it shouldnt be done, but we have to prioritize by
a) what devs want (yes, thats always the most important ) and
b) what most other users want and
c) complexity

Sheesh... So the majority wants to record/download then rename then move to the folders for each series/season. No wonder it was such a pain to get MP working with that mindset, lol...

My shows are automatically sorted by SABnzbd and I think that people that want such a feature should look into the software their using to get the shows in the first place

Nobody is forcing you to use MP, the least you can do is respect the hard work that was put into what we have instead of complaining about a feature that only a select few want.

As Inker said you can make a patch and do the work yourself instead of expecting others to do it all.

Not complaining just stating my opinion as a dumb user. As a user not a programmer I thought my view would be good since most programmers I know are uh, how should I say, not quite so user friendly (your response as a case in point). Try not to take everything so personal. I was trying to give constructive criticism. MP is an AWESOME Product and the best out I think. It is however a bit difficult for us stupid users LOL...

My thoughts were simply that if the program is already recognizing the show, pulling down all pertinent info then (if enabled) it would handle the show as needed. I mean surely you see there is some common sense logic in this hypothesis...

PS I spend hours trying to figure stuff out and use the product a ton. I feel that user testing (programmers tend to not test all the scenarios that a user could present) would be a valuable asset to the community effort but I guess I am wrong. Wouldn't be the first time...

It is certainly a possibility, and I dont think people said it was a dumb idea. There is so many other features we could do too (like we know what shows u like....we could communicate with the recording engine, or a download manager, stuff like that). But it all takes time and someone pationate enough to sit down and do it. I'm strongly of the oppinion that we should focus on doing a limited select features, but do them well, as opposed to trying to do everything under the sun but only do it so-so.

I see why you would want it, but as said before, not alot of people seem to share your preference for this very idea. Again, this doesnt mean it won't get done and devs are against it.

No, you are absolutely right. And by requesting (and especially starring) the issue (feature) you have done that. Please don't be afraid to suggest other enhancements and report problems.

I'm sorry if things came across as rude. But as you noticed, programmers arent the most socially intelligent punch (myself included)

I get it and no problems. I appreciate all you guys do it is amazing how much MP can do. I can't wait until the beta comes out in a few days..

I will keep going at it as a user and hope to come up with a few good suggestions as time goes by. Sorry if i ticked anyone off. As an IT Guy (I am in the hardware/networking stuff mostly) I also sometimes come off wrong.
