I installed the previous version again. TvSeries plugin didn't stop processing, which caused stuttering of video playback. I waited for a while and updated manually in configuartion a few times. But after starting Mediaportal and entering tvseries, the new version was always "in process". After installing the previous version everything was fine again.

No Idea what you mean, but if you are going back versions ensure you delete your database because its not backwards compatible.

Now there's something that would have been worth while to mention in the release notes ;) :p ;)

(maybe it's there and I overlooked it, but can't find it).

Only going back versions. For the record, its compatible e.g. v2.2-v2.3.

Maybe I got the terms 'forward' and 'backwards' mixed up.

it's okay m8, I was just joking. I personally have no issues with the test version, so thanks for all the great work.
And appearantly Imzadi has no issues either, even though he went back to the old plugin.

I'm sure I've been using this for a long time?

hehe, im sure you have. I took the base dialog from Moving Pictures as you probably have already guessed. I did make some minor dialog behaviour enhancements...can you spot them?

No...been months since I fiddled there. Proof of how stable my installation on TVSeries is :D

does the 'create tagged view' mean i could create a category like 'documentaries' and then display only the banners of the shows i tagged as 'documentaries'? something like 'default view' are banners of all show and if i apply this 'view filter' only the documentaries are shown?

    am i getting this wrong?

Thats pretty much how it works, just bring up the menu on your documentary series and select 'Add to View ...' Then if you have a Documentary view already defined simply select that or use the virtual keyboard to create it.

When you have added your series you can then see it in the 'Views' menu

thanks a lot Damien! this is a huge improvement! it think for many users, this might replace the need to have multiple instances of tvseries running! will try it out and report back! :D

It's really not that importat. Everything is fine as I'm using the previous version again. I always make database back-up before i try a new version.

But I have another question regarding fanart: Before it was possible to choose and download fanart in mediaportal it was possible to use every fanart I put in my fanart folder, as long as it had the right SeriesID. This is no longer possible (for a while) now. I can only use fanart which is availabe at thetvdb. It's not really a problem, but sometimes I want to use fanart, which was rejected by the thetvdb admins. But no matter what I do, it doesn't show.

The online fanart takes priority, if you dont auto-download and none are in your local database then it will use the manual drop-in fanart.
