    Hello Brett

Your MediaPortal.xml file - the main MediaPortal configuration file - is corrupt. You will need to replace it from backup, or delete it and reconfigure with MediaPortal configuration. MediaPortal.xml can be found in the "c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal" directory. Note ProgramData is not Program Files. Windows normally hides ProgramData, so either enable viewing of hidden and system files/folders in Windows Explorer configuration, or copy and paste the path into the Windows Explorer address bar/field.

    Regards,
    mm

After many hours of troubleshooting I've given up and accepted that it's just "one of these things" when using madVR for watching live TV. I've now ticked the box to "Use EVR for LiveTV", with a default display refresh rate of 50Hz. In combination with tweaking some of the Nvidia 3D settings for the MP executable only, I now have a...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site. Thanks, N. Again, if anyone knows how to do this, would be much...
