I am currently undergoing a major rebuild of my server/client.
If I am lucky I might be able to do a clean install tomorrow.
With this rebuild I have MySQL 5.6.11 installed (because it is also my web server)
Is there anything specific you need tested?

If you could remove MySQL 5.6, and reinstall MP 1.5 so you have MySQL 5.1, then do an update, that would be the best in terms of the testing needed.

    Hi all,

I've just upgraded my multiseat MediaPortal 1.5.0 to 1.6.0 without any issue! Many thanks for the upgrade version.

    My set up:
    1. Windows 8 "Home Server" with a complete MediaPortal installation (Server + Client)
    2. HTPC in Living room with Media Portal 1.5.0 Client version (here I installed the original MediaPortal 1.6.0 as there's no MySQL installed)
    3. Normal PC, same as HTPC

All updates and upgrades went well without any issues.

    Cheers
    Thorsten

I made a successful update from MediaPortal 1.5.0 to 1.6.0 without problems; single seat installation on Win7 x64.
    One little issue:
If you hit "More Info" in the MySQL update installation window you will be redirected to a wrong wiki page.
