Seb, I would prefer a simple mediaportal.exe rather than a full installer, which will also change some other mods that I have done to the language files. Yes, I can save everything but exchanging the exe is faster and much easier to revert.

Can you tell what you have changed?

It's my own build so there is much change on it like TV tuning async and other thing that i don't remember :)
So yes for language, it act like you reinstall MP so you need to backup it.

Only supply .exe is not enough lol

What did you add in language files, can it benefit other user ?

I adjusted a couple of skin messages whose wording I didn't like and changed them into something more concise, e.g. "no program information available" becomes "--", so nothing spectacular and I certainly don't want to start big discussions with devs about the message wordings. Notwithstanding I would appreciate if the language files were not constantly automatically overwritten ;)

@killer8 , this sounds very much like a (known Intel) driver issue. I looked for some hardware data of yours but could not find information, also your syspecs are not active. What type of graphics are you using and have you verified that you have installed the latest driver updates?

Hi, I mentioned my graphic card in the first post of this thread. I'm using a Nvidia GTX 970 with latest drivers. I only got the issue once to I think it was just coincidence. However I have update my system specs on the forum:)

I'm using MP 1.9 final, can I just update and will everything else keep working normally? Another thing when 1.10 is released(or 1.10 pre release) can I just upgrade without any problems? It's a production system i'm using so I would like to not have to reinstall everything and made all configuration again(no file changes just configuration in mp config app and some plugins).

I have kept tracking standby related issues because I once suffered severely under crashes when resuming my htpc from standy.

Since 1.7 it was "ok" but still happened once in a while.

Which is the best thing to test if the new build fixes my problem to, the MP1-4578 build or sebastiii's personal build (@Sebastiii is your own build ok for a production machine?)

    Hello killer8,
... I only got the issue once to I think it was just coincidence ...

Can we now assume that Sebastiii's solution fixes your crashes now and that previous crashes are independently regarding the WorldWeather plugin and Titan skin files?

... In essence I believe that the focus issue is resolved and any remaining resume problems (killer8) are not linked to WorldWeather in any way ...

Thank you for your testing effort.

@Helios61: Do you have tried the solution from Sebastiii? Can you also give a feedback, that PureVision skin files are not responsible for crashes on your HTPC?

    Cheers, Micropolis

Seb, I would prefer a simple mediaportal.exe rather than a full installer,
What i always do is rename both the 'MediaPortal' folders in Program Files & Program Data. Then i use 7zip to extract 2 packages (NSIS) from the DeployTool and run them both. Then you get a 'fresh' installation. When you rename the (newly created by installer) 'MediaPortal' folders to for example 'MediaPortal (Seb fork)' and then rename the 'old' installation folders back to default, then you have your running setup back ;)
If you want you can install multiple versions of MP on the same machine.

(@Sebastiii is your own build ok for a production machine?)
Definitly. Been using it for years on my HTPC ;)
