    @Sebastiii ,

General question: The resume issues appeared only recently. Although I am not fully certain, I believe that the problems were introduced with 1.8, possibly 1.8pre, hence I am wondering what changed relative to 1.7. The fix works, but it leads to some minor annoyances such as the desktop being visible for a couple of seconds in the wrong screen resolution. Again, this was not the case some two months ago and that's why I would suggest verifying the root cause in order to avoid having to patch the patches.

    regards,

I dont have these resume issues(always on htpc) but I have noticed that the setting for keeping MP on top no longer fully work. Taskbar popups like adobe and teamviewer popup appear on top of MP. I think this worked before and somewhere around 1.8pre it broke. Is this related?

Same for me, the fix works but it's not looking as nice as before:)

I don't think so, for me always on top works(it keeps focus on mp, I had a problem where MDAPI plus took over the focus in the past), but shows the taskbar at startup when the HDMI CEC adapter application starts, but when it minimizes after connecting it's gone and the taskbar doesn't appear anymore.

@killer8 : Yep tools take focus (MDAPI+ is one of them but it can be another tool, for mdapi maybe some option can be done to avoid the focus but no clue)
@HTPC_Sourcer : Yes there is a rework on powermessage broadcast because the sequence was not always in good order, so it fix this issue along with resume delay but with the new fix (from 1.8 / 1.8pre), MP need to be focused otherwise the message is not receive.
So we have here 2 issues :

1- The message not send because MP is not focused.
2- Issue with focus (some tools get the focus)

And for now the only way to make MP to get focus @ 100% is to minimize and restore, i don't know why but it seems to be a general issue (C#) maybe ?
For sure it will be also working by doing an ALT+TAB (to switch to another windows and back too MP)

I don't know why it can be more simple, when using the code focus or other don't work (or not always).

I have thinking by looking how it is handled when using MCE remote, because it seems to always give focus when using green button (i'm not sure @ 100%) but before the v4 fix sometimes MP wasn't focused and green button give it back. :)

Do you have the english translation ?
I remember that the middle option is to reinstall ?
You need to do reinstall (update was already done because you are on 1.9)

So the way to go is select reinstall, it will keep all your settings :)

First is update, second is reinstall current to media portal 1.9, third is clean installation.

So I can just reinstall without losing any settings done in the configuration application?

Will try that(make a backup prior anyway)

    Good news :)

It seems that using the same code as MPTray does the focus on resume without minimize and restore MP :)
So i will be able to provide a bin for normal MP and own build.
