Maybe we should upload our plugins as .7z files for now. It's a little more cumbersome for users since they are forced to use 7zip but makes sure it works...

    Hi
Ask @high to remove the support to upload zip files (files with extension zip at least) to the forum.
That would save you the trouble with locked assemblies.

    Hi.
since they are forced to use 7zip
There are worse programs to handle archives than 7zip. But 7zip is not the only tool that can handle 7z archives... As example TotalCommander can handle 7z archives (without the need of 7zip at all) the same way as .rar, .zip,... It's browsable just like a folder. One can copy files out of and also into the archive as if it is a folder... Creating new 7z archives is possible easily,...

    Thank you Thank you!!

I had the same problem and am learning about troubleshooting. I read my logs and determined it to be that I was using .NET 3.5 and needed higher, so I installed 4.5 and was disappointed to find that did not fix the problem. I knew it was not a bug as others were using the SlimTV fine.
    Got to love M$.

    Thanks again

Oh and thanks to all who are working on MP2, I am using both MP1 and MP2 on the same machine and love the PIP and speed of start up of MP2!

Update: Problem solved! The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal. The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...

I should point out that the developers have not formally left the project, and development has not formally stopped. The developers have instead simply "faded away", gradually spending less and less time on MP2 until the present, when they spend no time on MP2. But one or more of the developers might return next week! It is impossible...

If you’re planning to submit a pull request, let’s go through the list of issues and their solutions. I or someone from the team will create a Jira ticket, and for each ticket, you’ll make the changes and submit a pull request. This will be transparent and straightforward.
