Hi and great work guys!

I'm also very interested in using ppc as remote for mp. My main interest lays on remote controlling music and x10 -devices, but these are "sort of" working already or did I get you right?

I would love to try and test it. Where can I get latest "stable" version? I'm using Qtek 9090 as ppc.

The X10 stuff is coded but I've not been able to test it as I dont' have any X10 devices...

If your interested in testing it for me. I can compile a version for you to test out, only problem is I don't have anywhere to host it.

I'll look for some free hosting, if your interested.. but it will take me a coulpe of days to sort out some basic skin screens to test with... you'll need to change the XML tags for the Actions.

All I've done is add a webservice to the X10 MPPlugin, so if you can get that to work for you you shouldn't have any difficulty with MPBlue screens.(I hope!)

Let me know.

Hi,

Finally got back to my cradle and was able to install the ppc software :)

I did a small test

1) installed the software --> ok
2) pinged mediaportalserver from ppc --> ok
3) started the software --> hmm, well ok
pic1.jpg

looked like this
4) put in the parameters --> ok
5) pushed a buttom --> freeze
6) after a while got an exception (unexpeted exception in MPBluePocket.exe)
7) MPBluePocket.exe WebException Resourcegroup could not be found

I already apologised for the crappy graphics.. working on better interface..

number 7...
are You sure that you copied mpblue.dll into the plugins\process folder AND into the root of Mediaportal?

I really only tested this version against MP 1.3.0..

Yes. By the way (just crossed my mind) do I need to enable the plugin? I forgot to do that.. I'll try the enable thing tonight.

Flipit,

Sure! I can test it for you and I think that I can propably host it for you.

Just give me an example of changing XML tags for the Action (best way to understand what you mean).

MrSensitive,

Gee, I got it to work :) (plugin was not enabled.. I feel stupid)

1) Browsing works fine.
2) Music tree is not rendered/refreshed properly (i.e. I have the same problem as Flipit had earlier (dunno I he/she :) still has it) ). Meaning I need to point to the screen with stylus before the text in pointed point is shown :)
3) Did not try TV or WOL. I do not even have TV-card (yet), I prefer movies.

But this is really the way to go! I really like the work you have been done. It will be very nice with already suggested changes.
