Any experience to use Teamview instead of Display Link (use Teamview on all other PCs)?

here comes a small Information how far our development is.

We are making a good progress on coding and we still hope to publish the new version until mid of December. Some small issues have to be resolved, but most parts are ready so far. MPD2- Server is running quite good, the Plugin and GUI are working as they should. We still have to do some more Tests and small changes but if everything went's well the release date of the new Plugin should be before Christmas.

In the meantime and after finishing most parts of the Skins (there will be default, default Dark, NoTouch and Backdrop) I made a small change on our Website.

You can help us to keep the website online, without doing (nearly) anyting. If you are planning to buy something via Amazon it would be great if you click on our new Amazon Widget.

Due to the soon release of MP Version 1.2.2 we will wait with our release of MPD2 v0.7.0.0.
There are some changes that also concerns to MPD2. So you will get a fresh Version for the newest MediaPortal 1.2.2.

Man, I've not been this excited for a new piece of software like this! Even not for Battlefield 3

Do you think we can expect the plugin still this year?

This is a good question I cannot answer. I really hope that we are able to release this piece of Software before Christmas, but it’s not depending on me alone.
There are still some small things we have to work on.
Dialogs still have no Labels on second screen, a small resizing issue if you are not using the native Resolution of the Skins (1280x720), ListControl on Classic Homescreen is not working and some fixes regarding the new MP 1.2.2 Version.
It’s not much, but as the free time before Christmas decreases it could take more time than we want to.

But it’s better that it takes more time as we release such a buggy software like BF3.

Haha, allright.. Well, I gues that everyone will agree that we will wait a bit longer for good software than release buggy software..

So, take your time to make us happy!

Sweeet. I just found this. and am all about the coolness of this. It reminds me of the skin I made for my carputer.
It's installed and works well for now. Thanks!

I will set about reading all 44 pages of this, and I wanted to get a couple of questions answered out of the gate if you don't mind!

1. Once activated via MP, is there a way to simply exit out of the plugin so I can have my touchscreen desktop back?
Right now I have to Alt-F4 and kill all of MP just to get back to the Touchscreen.

2. I'm using the included default skin. I want to try the Purevision skin, and when I d/l & unzip it, the files look...funny. All the files in the directory are like this: {0bf7e6ac-e529-4954-bc84-bd2cb96700bd}-simon.png
How can I install this skin?

Hi Viscouse,

to your first question: No. There is no way out by now. You'll be able to do this with the upcoming version. There is an ActionID for MPD2 to close the application ( MPDisplay.Action(100) ). MP will still run.

2. ok... Just rename the file ending. It should be no zip- file... It's an mpe1 Installer package (MPD2-PVHDSkin.mpe1 - not MPD2-PVHDSkin.zip). I think you are using the Internet Explorer? That can happen sometimes. Or use a good browser like firefox...

Hi Wondermusic,

I was wondering if the next version has also support for 4TR.. That would be very very nice.. For me is the 4TR much more stable than MP's TV-server so I hope it will be supported..
