All the Dev's will be involved (and maybe more).
Arn't we all, seriously though, AFAIK MP will be a small stable program, with lots of plugins, unlike now where most things are actually integrated into MP.
So you will have MPNG installed, this will allow you to link to existing\new updated plugins (option to download automatically) Music\Pictures\TV server\Skins\Web and anything else that exists or arises in the future.
The idea is to create a stable base for other things to interact with, so if music screws up as a example, it would not effect the recording of tv elsewhere.
Stability is at the centre of this, the meedios post (search) will probably give you a incite into possible future developments.

Result, it works on the two PC's we use for watching TV :D I've not lost anything by the looks of it either, all channels etc still setup.
Just my office PC won't connect, which I only use for testing things anyway (I tried updating that this morning as well), but I'll uninstall and install fresh on that.
