    MPTagThat is no longer working for me at all. There is no visible response to clicking any of the buttons. I observed this behaviour with both 3.1.5 and 3.1.5.
    I am not aware of any changes to the system which could be responsible. In fact, I have been very remiss in updating things in general on this system.
    I have attached a log file from the following sequence of actions:
    1. Open MPTagThat
    2. Sort file list by Track
    3. Sort file list by Album
    4. Select a file/track
    5. Click on "Tag from Filename"
    To my untutored eyes, the logfile appears to contain no useful information.
    I have also tried other buttons (including the "Play" button), but the logfiles were similarly uninformative.
    I am running MPTagThat via Windows Remote Desktop.

    Thanks for the quick response!
    The stock 3.1.5 version ran OK when used directly on the HTPC (without RDP), but I don't like to block the main UI and screen while cataloging music.
    The version you posted above required me to first install dotNET 4.5, but the embedded link did not work for me. Instead, I downloaded and installed the latest offline installer (4.5.2) from Microsoft. I was then able to start MpTagThat over RDP, but as soon as I selected a folder, i got the following unhandled exception:
    Code:
    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.
    The dialog offered the choices "Continue" or "Quit", but to be on the safe side, I chose to quit.
    Subsequent attempts to start MpTagThat resulted in a runtime error immediately upon starting, with the standard MS dialog offering to search for a solution online.
    Config and log files are attached.

    Thanks, it's working now. Now I just need to remember what I had configured ;-)
    On an unrelated topic, when I rip CDs from the MP UI, MP often fails to tag all files, even though the track identification appears to be complete.
    If I use "Datei Identifizieren" on the ripped tracks in MPTagThat, it fails (no message, but no new tags created). If I let MPTagThat rip the CD it works perfectly.
    It's not a big deal to rip CDs from MPTagThat, but of course it would be more convenient to do so via the MP UI.
    Does MPTagThat use a different algorithm to rip CDs from MP 1?

    yeah, MP does the CD Rip differently. it is very old code, which hasn't been touched > 5 years.
    Maybe it is totally broken.

    Identifying tracks should work. If not, o need to see the.logs. There might be an error.
    But i use this function very often myself.

    Please note that i am leaving tomorrow for a 1 week business trip to the U.S., so i won't be able to look into that in the near future.

    Thanks for the quick response! It's not completely broken; when I put in a CD, MP generally identifies all of the tracks. When MP writes the MP3 files, it even writes the titles in the filenames. However, it fails to write all of the tags. My last attempt, a CD with 17 tracks, resulted in 11 files with tags and 6 without. Anyway, it is nothing critical. Enjoy your trip!

    P.S. If you take a look at exchanging code with MP client, you might also look at the lyrics look-up. I don't get any lyrics (Liedtexte) in MPTagThat for songs that the MP client Lyrics plugin has no trouble with. MPTagThat just remains indefinitely in the search mode, without returning anything. This is regardless of whether I launch it directly or over RDP. Another problem is that when I try to edit existing lyrics or enter them manually, MPTagThat does not store the changes.

    Hello MPTT team, I am having a problem with v3.1.6.0 in that it doesn't detect Musepack files. Opening a folder containing .MPC or .MP+ files all I get is: 0 files (0 Music and 0 Non Music Files on right panel). I am working on a Windows network share ("Map Network Drive..." command). All other file extensions are detected and can be tagged (MP2/MP3/WMA/M4A/FLAC/WAV/WV/OPUS/OGG). For now I switched to another program to tag MPC files.

    I am having trouble with MPC tags in MP as well: is my MPC encoder broken?
