    hwahrmann,

Could you please mention in the opening post very clearly what version MP this is a fork of. I asumed it is atleast 1.3a or newer (svn) as the testbuild is made public a while after 1.3alpha release. This is why I didnt excpect it to be between 1.23 and 1.3a, which might break some things here and there.

BUT.... Despite this, I havent noticed any bugs anyway (yet). (havent spent much time with MP though...)

    Done. Updated the first page.

    Thanks for clearing this up.
Luckily my asumtion was correct. It is newer than 1.3alpha.
The filename of the download threw James and me a bit off I guess. It suggests an earlier/older build (1.2.100) than 1.3a.

Thanks for the awesome work again!

Regarding the duration test. I intent to do it this weekend.
Do you want 1 test for 1hr per filetype, close MP, save log and restart MP for the next testfile?? Or just all files in 1 go.
What do you call "a duration test". How many minutes minimum? In my perception its like 60mins or so.

    regards,

For the duration test, just load various files in a playlist and let it go.
Simply see, if you run into any kind of problems.
60 minutes would be perfectly ok.
For the duration tests it shouldn't matter the types of files, which play.

First post has been updated with new version.
It supports now Resume for Playback.

In config you can enable Resume support and select a Time (after which resume info wil be stored) AND / OR search for strings in Tags.
e.g. Genre contains book or Filename contains book

    Hi,

Got time to do the test early. I bumped into a crash. Might be related to switching from music files to movie and back. There is a .cue file in my playlist I think which doesnt make MePo behave so good. CTRL ALT DEL needed to kill MP. I will rerun the test without them and post the log

Here is the log with 60+minutes of playback of random files. No crash this time.
Note: this is the first version still.
    Hope this helps.

I installed this this "rework" - first impressions - OK!!
However, this is only for Music sections of MP!(?) Not for Video part!(?)
For Video we have to use ReClock as before!(?)
Whether you can make WASAPI for Music and Video simultaneously?

Hi, great work hwahrmann! I tested WASAPI several times (from few minutes to few hours of playing). While playing everything were fine (incl. changing songs, menu navigation etc.) but after stop playing (both using stop button or automatically after end of playlist) MP freeze. Once it unfroze after several minutes, another time it had been frozen for more than hour, then I killed the process.

My system is Windows 7 32-bit. I use AMD HDMI Audio Output (7.12.0.7708) - AMD 6310 Brazos platform, connected via HDMI to Denon 4810 AV Amplifier and I have disabled in configuration MP skin sounds (needed for movies and tv dts(hd)/dolby(hd) bit-perfect sound).

[edit]: I've tested yesterday more and was unable to reproduce problem (many short listnenings). Today I tested again and after ~1 hour of playing music I press stop, then some time later I tried to watch tv then MP frozed.

Might be the same issue I saw. I played music and in between was a different filetype. Thus MP had to stop playback.
Logs are in Post #25 of this.
