FH was always a scraper scraping images to display e.g. sctually played artist images. And in FH config there are options to scrape images for various items like video fanart

And FH was always using the UserDef folder for manual added fanart. This also not new.

MIH does the scraping.
The fact that FH now looks in other folders, because of added scraping features,

For scrapper - "\Skin FanArt\Scraper\" not "\Skin FanArt\UserDef\"

afaik the naming structure is identical for both, so there shouldn´t be duplicates (I hope ) - at least here I see that there aren´t any duplicates

FH seems to add a number (seems online artist match) where MIH simply downloads x number of images and numbers them 1, 2, 3.

Both plugins download fanart images for Artist X.
How does FH know what images are downloaded by MIH (or other way around)?

FanartHandler just takes all the images in the database, and if they are duplicated then so be it. But they will be duplicated even if they are in different directories. Ie if MIH will download pictures in the catalog scraper, it will be the same as it will download them to the user directory. The only difference is that these pictures will not be shown in random order when there is no picture for an artist.

That's up to the user settings. If a user let's both FH & MIH scrape, then yes.
I use FH only to manage the fanart, not scrape (except NowPlaying scraping of missing fanart).
NowPlaying FH scraped fanart goes into \Skin Fanart\Scraper\music, and MIH scraped fanart goes in \Skin Fanart\UserDef\music

Why? If both plugins do the same thing, even take pictures with some sites? It is 100% duplication.

NowPlaying FH scraped fanart goes into \Skin Fanart\Scraper\music, and MIH scraped fanart goes in \Skin Fanart\UserDef\music

If MIH download images to a folder Skin Fanart\Scraper\music, nothing would have changed.

Uploaded a new version with the ability to set thumb folders.
I have also added a crude check for internet connectivity to stop it flooding logs on sleep / resume.

I am not actually using MP and seems as FH is now getting worked on again this is likely to be the last update I will provide
