Hi,

for those of you that have problems with the sub menu in basic home, try to change the following line in basichome.xml:

<allowoverlay>yes</allowoverlay>
to
<allowoverlay>no</allowoverlay>

It's located at the wery top.

Is there a reason why you running MP with basic home instead of the "normal" home screen? I never use the basic home screen my self and have therefore not really tested the skin against that screen. They should work the same however.

Implementing a exit button in the submenu should be quite easy, I'll see what I can do over the next days.

Im running MP 1.1.0.0 (SVN 1.0.4.24669) at my machine at the moment.

Good point, i dont use the BasicHome screen either

Im currently trying to clean up the code and fix a few things like dissappearing songtitle in PlayingNow if its too long,

I use BasicHome because that's what I've always used in every other skin - the 'normal' home screen is usually just a boring 'list'! I'll give yours a try

Excellant - both options worked (changing the '<allowoverlay>yes</allowoverlay>' to no or using the 'regular' Home). I'm curious what other differences there are between BasicHome and Home, but since the 'Home' screen is the developed/recommended one, that's the one I'll use...

unfortunately, moving pictures (fanarts, logos) and fanart handler plugin are not supported.

How would i go about modifying what is displayed on the home screen? I dont use my MP for pictures or Live TV so i would like to replace them with other things.

Fanart... How's it supposed to work?

Hi,

I have made some repleacement files avaliable for the home screen which implements an exit button bar. Replace myHome.xml in the skin folder and copy the .png files to the media folder. Just push up on remote or keyboard when at the home screen to trigger the new menu.

hermy65: It is quite possible to replace items on the home screen, but harder to delete them. It you like to replace Live TV for instance you have to replace all lables in the myhome.xml whit what you want instead, but also the action you want to trigger instead.

qsec: fanart for moving pictures and tv-series are handled by the plugins themselvs. For music you have to add your backdrops to the fanart folder (/media/fanart) and name them like: [artist name].jpg

juro: I have tested the fanart handler plugin, but it is not quite mature yet in my opinion. It behaves a little bit strange from time to time. Fanart and logos for moving pictures and tv-series is supported and works fine here. Any body else have problems with this?

Does the filename have to an exact artist name match or does it work like the fanart handler where the beginning of the filename can match.
Artist Madonna would then match "madonna (123123).jpg" and not only "madonna.jpg".
