My Anime 2 (1 Viewer)

I'm having a whole bunch of problems with this plugin and I hope somebody can help me out.

edit: Tried the fix, first of all maybe it is smart to tell people where to put the files (I put them in mediaportal root), but it doesnt change anything. No more crashes but it doesnt show anything. Just a background. I checked in the plugin screen and it did find my anime but as I said it doesnt display anything.

This will cause you a problem

Make sure you delete the file from your root folder, and only copied it to the following (or something similar)
C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows

I can confirm that another user copied the DLL to the root folder and it was fixed after doing the above.
Basically it should be replacing an existing file.

Still having a look at the other problems.

Thanks now everything shows up Still I have a few questions. I figured out how to change the backdrop in streamedmp when selecting my anime but when I enter, how can I set my anime up to change to backdrops? I now got the default my anime v2 background but if possible I would like to have it change much like in the mymovies or tvseries plugins. I got the fanart download and everything on but it doesnt seem to do anything.

Also, when I select a serie, the movie thumbnail stays empty. How can I make it display something?

Do you have the "Fanart - Display random artwork..." option checked in the config screen (under the TvDB tab)

Do you mean the episode thumbnail?
Keep in mind not all series will have episode thumbnails.

Yep I have that on. Got it working now. I turned it off, and than on again. But some series still don't show fanart. Maybe because its not available?

But I still have a problem with the importer. A few episodes dont get recognized but the manual adding doesnt seem to work.

I have somewhat similar problems. There are several series that I tried to import and it didn't show up in the list. When I tried to import them, it scanned and hashed the files. It also added into AniDB list but for some reason it didn't add into the database so it didn't show up in the list. I'm using version 2.3.0.15 and MP version 1.1.0 RC2. Btw, the log doesn't show any error

How does it actually work when a serie has 2 seasons.
Like: Darker than Black and/or Clannad.

The first season shows correctly for me, but the second season of those series just downloads the plot and images of season 1.

The series are retrieve from AniDB.net, but the season images and plot are retrieved from theTVDB.com. There can/usually be difference between them on if they are different shows. Usually on theTVDB.com they are the same show just different seasons, but on anidb, they are listed as different shows.

To fix this, hover over the show that is season 2 (or more), bring up the context menu (f9), select databases->tv db->switch seasons, then choose the correct season.

Should the plugin be compatible with RC3? I just upgraded to it and the plugin doesn't work anymore. I get a #Anime2.SimpleCurrentView in the top left corner and that's it. I'm using Black Glass Nova and I've also tried Blue3Wide. Same result.

Thanks, the RC2 bandaid works for RC3 as well. Strangely, I didn't have any problems with RC2.

offtopic, your own forum looks great, but I'd still update this one as well if I were you. It's confusing to have a separate forum imo.
