My Films 6.1 released ! (30.06.2014) - V6.1.0.3107 (MP 1.6, 1.7 & 1.8) (1 Viewer)

Hello,

my external PLayer (Total Media Theatre 6) didn´t work.
The iso is mounted by Daemon Tools / Virtual Clone Drive but then no external PLayer was launched. (powerdvd - Totalmedia Theatre)

My Config in Myfilms: External PLayer: 1. Field: Path to Player / 2. Field: AUTOPLAY / 3. Field: iso

nothing happens (no UMCEPLAYER.exe was launched)

When i manualy start UMCEplayer.exe then the movie plays

Please Help

Hi Picard007, there is nothing we can do without logs - too many possible setups to guess... You might want to check, if it is related to this.

It might be related to https://code.google.com/p/my-films/issues/detail?id=367 - if you provide log files, this could be verified.

The error will not occur at every iso.

For example: 1. film (Taken 2) doesn´t start the external player
2. film Eraser works.

Thanks for posting the log files - please change logging to 'Debug' in MP next time, as this provides a lot more detailed information.
Indeed, it seems, mediainfo is failing on some discs, which leads to an exception.
I have added a tracker entry and a fix for the next release.

I downloaded V6.1.1.3131 and it seems to be working O.K. My question is how come there was no fanfare regarding this update, like what are the fixes and any other notes regarding this version. Also , Picard007, did you try it also?.

... simply because it is only a test version for those willing to test or need a fix urgently. Once we publish a new public version (which will be a bugfix release V6.1.1) we'll do all the stuff involved (and the fanfare ;-)). Such test versions were always available, but in the past, I didn't link them in the forum.
You can always follow the changes in the issue tracker and commit log, if you can't wait for the official posts here .

We can always depend on you for quick responses, your the greatest. Thanks for your explanation, Ill stay with this version until the official one comes on board. After a long haul I finally got the hang on how The Ant catalog, AMC updater and My Movies are linked together, trust me it wasn't easy. I also got the "Comments" line working O.K. Also I used the manual update in AMC Updater and was able to get accurate covers, titles, comments, etc. My library is small (50 ) movies, but would be extremely time consuming. for large libraries. Finally, thanks again for the tips you gave in your previous post.

Installation goes through fine until it gets to the basic config stage when I get the following error:

Any idea what could be the trouble?
