Hi,



for the great plugin.

Seems to work fine, all media can be played (by the usual plugin , now using mplayer)

Only one issue:

Adding folders in the gui-plugin config leads to an error. Details below.

Trying to use the gui-plugin from within MP leads to the message 'Cannot be startet, use config of the plugin' or so.

Hi,
the issue with configuration of the gui plugin should be fixed. I just uploaded a new version (0.70b)

But I can't reproduce your second problem. The only theory that I have is that you're getting the following message:
MPlayer External Player not available!
Please activate it in the Setup

This is normal message. You have to activate the external player plugin as well if you want to use the gui plugin. Otherwise the gui plugin can't use MPlayer in MP.

If this wasn't the message, could you please your logs and I will try to find out what has happened.

Please give us the opportunity to handle subtitle fontsize,subtitledelay and subtitle position.
For example, i never use the buttons 0-9 on my remote,why isn´t it possible to configure this free buttons for subtitle configuration.
It is is really sad, cause mplayer got`s the ability for this.

The recorded files of the TVServer are often corrupt or not 100% Standard compatible, cause this i got often seek problems.
Do you know how to resolve this problem?
Is it possible to change the demuxer, i would like to use the elecard demuxer for playback.

Problem 2 is, that i got a black screen if i use your plugin, with the new plugin to use MP on the second Monitor.

The buttons 0-9 are used to jump to a specific position in a video file like the default player of MP it does. The reason why you can't use this option is that I disable all key commands in MPlayer while using it in MP. All commands from your remote and keyboard where captured by MP and then transmitted to MPlayer. Some of these events are directly handled by MP, so I can't change their behavior.

The main goal of this plugin is that you can use MPlayer in MP like the standard internal video player. The integration of the additional features of MPlayer is only the second step.

Seeking is still a small problem in the plugin, since it's done directly by MP and my plugin. I have tested the ts files of the TVServer myself and found out that MPlayer isn't able to determine the current position in the file and the correct length of the file. I don't have a workaround atm, but I will look if I can add something in the next version.

I don't have tested my plugin with this new modification. I think that there something has changed, so that the plugin isn't able to determine where it has to display the video. I have to update my installation of MP first and then check what there has happened.
Just a small question: Are you watching on the first or second screen?

I think you know, that i am able to disable buttons in the MP Remote configuration.
I can delete or disable my remote buttons 0-9.
After disabling i could use Girder or Hip to remote Mplayer with this free buttons.
Sadly, the subtitle configuration keybord command are disabled by your plugin.
Ok, i know you got your causes.

Just a small question: Are you watching on the first or second screen?

1.Just Monitor works
2.Just TV works
3.Monitor and TV doesn`t work (black screen on TV)

I´m looking for something to completely forget this boring decoder, demuxer
and subtitle problem, my wife can`t speek very good German, so i need to play every recorded movy with subtitles, the problem is, if there are a few frames corrupt in the movy, the subtitles are coming to late or to early.
So i need buttons to compensate the different times between movy and subtitles, and i think i`m not alone here.

You made a gret job with you plugin, i hope you will continue and exploit all out of Mplayer.

Just a small update.
I have fixed the issue with the different screens. The problem is that it only will work with the DirectX video output driver and not with OpenGL.
I also added Action for controlling the delay of audio and subtitle. Also the position and size of a subtitle/osd can now be changed during playback. All these options need additional testing.
And last but not least I added localization support to the osd messages of the player. Localization support for the gui plugin is in progress.

I think that I will release a test version in a couple of days in this thread. A new stable version will be released, when a new RC or stable version of MP is available, because some of the new features won't work with 0.2.3 RC1. :sorry:

The seeking problem still exists and will be fixed later. The upcoming test version will only include the additional features and the fix for the different screens.
I can only fix the seeking problem, if I add additional logic to analyze the output of MPlayer and change the seeking at all.

How can i use multimedia keys in this plugin? For example Play button, Stop, Pause, Volume, Next Track, etc... how can i put command line parameters to set font size in OSD (default font size is really BIG)
