As far as i know, the Mplayer plugin works with the same buttons than "Mediaportal's Internal Player" it'selfs. You don't need to configurate button's cause this. If you need special button's, you need to ask the developer for integration, cause keyboard command parameter are disabled by the developer.

Font side Parameter can be checked here:

Did you ever experienced with cropping of movies with Mplayer.

I looked in the Mplayer help file but didn't found a solution, can't believe that such an advanced Media player has no configuration for this.

ercuem is right. The plugin uses the same buttons as the internal player. If your multimedia keys work within MP's internal player (not WMP) they should work within this plugin too.

The upcoming release will allow you to change the size of the subtitles and OSD, because if you change the size of subtitles you also change the size of the OSD.

Cropping should work with MPlayer. I haven't used it myself, but you should have a look here. There you find all parameters of MPlayer and I saw something about cropping.

rewind button doesn't work for me, and it works fine with mp internal player. And about the font OSD size, i've readed the documentation and i've found this paremeter: subfont-osd-scale but i don't know where to put it.

    regards,

Into the "Optional arguments" in "Mplayer plugin" configuration.

Didn't tested rewind button, will give you feedback after testing

rewind and forward seeding works here with x10 Medion remote

Forward and Rewind sets the playback speed of the player. Unfortunately I can't set a negative speed in MPlayer so that you can't rewind.

As mentioned in an earlier post here is a test release of the plugin. This version works only with latest svn !!!
I have included the following new features:
    - Adjust audio and subtitle delay
    - Adjust subtitle position
    - Adjust subtitle/osd font size
    - Localization support (English and German is included)
    - Support for different screens (works only with DirectX as video output driver. Limitation of MPlayer)
You just have to copy the content of the attached zip file into your MP installation directory for installing. If you want to use the new features, you have to map the following ACTIONs to a remote button in you remote configuration or a key in the keymap (Configuration->General->Keys and Sound) for the window GUIVideoFullscreen (2005):
    - ACTION_AUDIO_DELAY_PLUS / ACTION_AUDIO_DELAY_MINUS for the audio delay
    - ACTION_SUBTITLE_DELAY_PLUS / ACTION_SUBTITLE_DELAY_MINUS for the subtitle delay
    - ACTION_MOVE_SELECTED_ITEM_UP / ACTION_MOVE_SELECTED_ITEM_DOWN for the subtitle position
    - ACTION_INCREASE_TIMEBLOCK / ACTION_DECREASE_TIMEBLOCK for the subtitle/osd font size
These ACTIONs are not used by the internal players. The reason for some of the strange ACTION names is that a plugin can't provide new actions to MP, so I have to use the existing ACTIONS of MP that are not used by the internal players.
Any feedback, bug reports and improvement suggestions is really appreciated. Also if you create a new language file for this plugin, please post it here and I will include it in the next release. The localization files of MPlayer are in the subfolder "Language\MPlayer".

    Regards,
    MisterD

edit: Version removed, because a new stable is avialable. See first post for more informations

There is no option for OSD and subtitle fontsize, you need to write manualy "-subfont-text-scale 4" into the optional arguments dialog.

Subtitle font and OSD Font are related, if you change the size of subtitles you also change the size of the OSD.

First, good job, everything works perfectly up to font size scaling.
I have configured my remote to scale font size, if i press the button to make sub fonts bigger, i get an osd message from Mplayer but nothing happens here. "Untertitel werden trotz richtig konfigurierter Fernbedienungstasten nicht größer oder kleiner", alle anderen Erneuerungen funktionieren tadellos.Danke

Thanks for the Spanish translation. I will add it to the next release.
As ercuem mentioned you could set this option. But I don't suggest to do this, because the plugin assume that it has it's default value. I will add an option to the configuration, so that you can specify a start value.

Could you please provide a log, because it's working here. You have to wait for next subtitle, because the size changes only with the next subtitle.

    - Adjust subtitle/osd font size

I will try to explain it.
I have added an option to change the size of the subtitle/osd during playback. This means if you map a key to the specified actions (ACTION_INCREASE_TIMEBLOCK / ACTION_DECREASE_TIMEBLOCK), you can change the size during the playback.
But you also could specify the option that ercuem mentioned, which sets the initial font size of the subtitles/osd. But as mentioned in my last post I don't suggest to do this. I will add such an option to the next release, so that you can specify an initial value and change it during playback.
