Ability to sort by artist not just albums (using the "album" view).

I can confirm this behaviour. Outside the playlist-view neither the green "marker" nor "pale orange"-Colour is following the currently playing track. In playlist-view the green "marker" follows the currently playing track. Can this also be done for the "Album-View" (this means when you enter "music"-menu)?

Unfortunately, no. Remember that you're very likely to be browsing your music collection when in any other view than the playlist view. Also, the play list likely includes tracks from multiple artists, albums, genres, etc. How would MP highlight the current track in such a scenario?

i haven't thought this through much ... but what if mp could just highlight the currently playing track in orange if you're browsing through different views. so you might leave the browsing in the album that's playing, and the orange text would follow the currently playing song, or if you changed to genre/year/track/etc views it just uses the orange highlight IF the current track is visible in that view?

Easy enough to implement but track highlighting would be inconsistent;

I start playing an album
currently playing track is highlighted
listen to a couple tracks--all is good
I continue browsing highlighting is gone
wtf?
where'd the track highlighting go?

Personally, I think it's more confusing than it's worth. Track highlighting works in the playlist view (and in "now playing" :roll: ). Do we *really* need or want it in the other views?

i don't really want it i'm hooked on the playlist view!!.. much better and makes heaps more sense. but sometimes i get confused when i hit enter to start playing a track instead of play, and don't realize i've done anything different till a few tracks have played and i'm wondering what i'm up to.

I didn't see it in the list on the first page, so here goes:
I would like to, from the main menu, and perhaps everywhere in MP, press one key to start playing with Party mode on.
This way it would be as easy to start a "mp3 radio" as I start my kitchen FM radio when I'm just making breakfast or the evening formula for the kids...
Even no need to start the tv and switch to the computer AV input...

Hey SteveV,

Ive been working on the MyBurner plugin and adding a Burn CD option to MyMusic is the next step for me.
Where do you think the best place is for me to drop in my code. Im thinking its somewhere on the Playlist screen with a Burn Playlist to CD button.
What do you think?
I still see a future for the MyBurner plugin as its a way for users to line up music tracks and burn while MyMusic is playing other stuff in the background.

Anyone else have a problem when you go fullscreen when listening to music or radio and in desktop res of 1024x768 the cpu usage is around 100 percent constant so you can't exit fullscreen? , if its on 800x600 the cpu usage is like 25% or there abouts, any ideas?
