My Music - need your thoughts on how to improve and enhance (2 Viewers)

Anyone else have a problem when you go fullscreen when listening to music or radio and in desktop res of 1024x768 the cpu usage is around 100 percent constant so you can't exit fullscreen? , if its on 800x600 the cpu usage is like 25% or there abouts, any ideas?

Tested here & in 1024x768 & cpu it's about 11% with viz on, viz fullscreen 28% & in "now playing" about 2%.
This is with BlueTwo skin..

Bug report:

Using the SVN build from the 22 May 2006, I have noticed that the 'previous track' button doesn't work properly when in party shuffle mode. Ideally, this should restart the currently playing track (it cannot go any further back). Currently it jumps to a seemingly random track on the playlist. However, if you press 'next track' it will return back on course.

Easy enough to implement but track highlighting would be inconsistent;

I start playing an album
currently playing track is highlighted
listen to a couple tracks--all is good
I continue browsing highlighting is gone
wtf?
where'd the track highlighting go?

Personally, I think it's more confusing than it's worth. Track highlighting works in the playlist view (and in "now playing" :roll: ). Do we *really* need or want it in the other views?

Hi Steve.. I don't agree here. It's quite normal in other players that you can see an icon or something in front of the title that is currently being played. So if you continue browsing and you return to the list containing the item being played, you can add this visual clue on the track again.
Personally I prefer an icon (a speaker or something like) that since highlighting is already used for selecting a track.

Implement MP's standard skipping behavior in My Music

Now we're on the subject of new feature requests:

I very much miss the almost standard MP behaviour in playback mode while listening to music.
While watching video, dvd or tv you can skip in predefined steps forward or backward (-/+ 15s, 30s, 45s ...). This is very handy and I miss this almost every day while listening to music.

Let's standardize this in MP and add this to My Music.

Side note: it may require different steps as music tracks a lot shorter on average than video tracks.

I haven't found it yet on the 27 previous pages, so forget it if I read it over, but is it possibe to implement a resume-function for each title like in myVideo? It would help a lot with audiobooks. Would be great

Doing the skip steps I wanted to include them in Music, too but discussing with the other devs we realized that there would be many changes and decisions to made..

by browse you mean navigate?
