Iam working on new version, but it takes time to navigate in code.

Lot of features are not working yet, but you should be able to play movie. Series are not working for now.

Install My Netflix from downloads and then copy Dll over it (its in plugins\window directory)

thanks for the dll
i renamed the existing one to .old
then placed this one in the folder

i must be doing something wrong
as i have the same issue as before
regardless of the skin i use
titan or default wide or default

you see the skin background
and white text that says 0 of 0 movies
selecting the menu
gives options such as top 100 and search
but none of them do anything

any ideas as to what i could do?

I just started using Media Portal and Netflix is a big deal in this house, so I'm trying to get the plugin here working. But I'm stuck at the very beginning because I can't authorize the app. When I try, I get an error about the old api URL being deprecated and to use the new one.

I tried using the alpha dll from this thread but it didn't make a difference. I saw the post in this thread about the URL changing, but is there something I need to do to make the plugin use the new API address?

Hi Philomorph.
If you see depricated url error then you still using old dll.
Or you can try to search your system for wrapnetflix.dll library. This library contains the worng url..

Dll I posted contains version that uses correct url.
Try to look in to it.

ok so i have solved 1 of the 2 problems

i am definately 100% using Mightypolo's new dll
however it is not using the new api
this is solved by adding the api to your windows host file

add the following line to C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts:


64.94.14.22 api.netflix.com

so... now i can authenticate
but i still have nothing on screen at all
other than skin background and white text that says 0 of 0 movies

mightypolo said he is on MP from november
this must be 1.2.3 or 1.3 alpha
but definately not 1.3 beta as it came out just a few days before christmas

i think its an incompatability with 1.3 beta

Hi.
Today I deleted my plugin also deleted database file and went over to see whether is there same problem on my devel mashine.

What I did:
I copied mynetflix.dll from folder which I shared you.
then:
1. Authorize
2. Authorize Sub-Account
3. Users\ add user
4. Set as default

Then I went to mediaportal and runed plugin.
It showed me my queue.

I also checked hosts file and there is no special entry in it.

I would like to help you but I need to see your error log file.
Also hosts file hack is really not needed.

Did you searched for the wrapnetflix library as suggested?

Let me know.
p.s. If you dont see number of movies it means that there was error during loading your queue. It could be anything.
The try-catch is not very fine-grained.

unfortunately the suggestion did not say what to do with this file
i dont know how to modify it

what queue?
netflix only allows to watch movies live
wether i use the browser, the wii, the ps3, the windows 8 app
there are no options to build queues

i should also clarify
its not just showing 0 of 0 movies
if i click left arrow or left remote button
i get a menu
but nothing works
i can select top 100, categories, etc...
nothing shows up on screen

i will try to get error logs as well as screenshots
in the mean time, what do i do with wrapnetflix?

I also don´t get it to work. I get some hashtags and texts in the middle of the screen, and i can get to the menu by clicking left on the remote, but nothing happens from there. Is there any outside program (like silverlight or similar?) i´m missing or something? i run WinXP SP3, mediaportal 1.2.3 and streamedMP
