Can anyone direct me to a guide, or tell me how to set it up to launch a single .exe (ie PES5) from scratch ?

All i want is 3 games to run on my HTPC with my wireless control pad :) ... but not emulators or anything...

I'm in the same situation

I've got the exact same setup/structure as in the screen shots above but no dice. Latest RC all up and running except this. I'm trying to launch an executable, digitv.exe to run some nebula tv software in front of mp. Can't get the bda version to run to my liking

Anyone any further ideas what I'm missing? Must be something if others have it working!

@Brownard another logs of failed installations. I'll take a look into the user management. Edit: I can confirm user management is completey broken with NET4 and NET6 :( Neither an existing profile can be selected nor a new one can be created.

Did you see this thread ? The poster in that thread could not get MP's Schedules Direct plugin to work. I tried it on my test system (I don't have a Schedules Direct account), but I could not get it to work either. @framug mentioned that the plugins run no more than once per day, so that may have been my problem. However... I...

I was able to get everything working using mc2xml and xmltv. I still use SchedulesDirect as a source, but have turned off the Schedules Direct plugin.

That was it! :) I had to set it to "Maintain display scaling". I think it was set to "Maintain Aspect Ratio", which added black bars to MediaPortal when playing videos that didn't conform to a strict 16:9 ratio, I suppose. Thanks to everyone for the patience and help, I can finally enjoy videos fully.
