I'll look into it a bit more tomorrow.

Strange needing to use All Channels, by default if nothing is supplied it does default to show all.

Check your Error.log file to see if it explains why your getting the 500 error, most exceptions I catch and put the error output into that log file in the release build.

I'll take a closer look tomorrow (it worked fine for me before I gave it out).

Ah, I found the error: me. The TV cable wasn't in the computer. Somebody has pulled it out...
Anyway, putting the TV cable in doesn't fixes the ?group=All Channels bug.

Maybe it would be nice to show a warning when there isn't signal...

Well the extra slash at the end is my problem, that will be fixed in the next release.

Good to see you got it fixed Oxan.

I can't think of a good way to present the information, maybe a troubleshoot.html file could be added that does a few checks but for now I want the channel listing and timeshifting modules to be a little more stable.

could you explain a little bit further?
I want to test it, because streaming TV is the only important function, that I need..:)

you put an extra "/" after the "."

    so .rss/

Part of the code I have which fixes the URL for unescaped ? marks e.g. %3F. doesn't like having a "/" after the last ".".

Something minor I overlooked but sadly I don't have a team of dedicated bug trackers checking all the possible flaws before release so these things creep though :(.

You still get an empty site when you check for the channel list vel_tins?

Could you try and go view source code when you load the channel list and post what comes up on the forum. From that I might be able to guide you on what is wrong.

Hm... I only see an empty page when I go to http://127.0.0.1:8080/Tvserver/ChannelList.rss
And when I go to http://127.0.0.1:8080/Tvserver/ChannelList.rss/ it crashes the TvService

//nvm, seems to work now ;)

How do I lower the bitrate of the transcoded video? I thought I would just have to edit the TimeShift.* file, but no matter how low I set the video and/or audio bitrate in there, the stream always stays at the same, maximum bitrate (and is thus oversaturating my upload bandwidth.. I am trying to stream it over the internet currently ;)).

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <META content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>
    <BODY></BODY></HTML>

Alwell few interesting posts, some I should be able to help.

Nicx, interesting problem, did you modify the xslt files at all? I'm not quite sure yet why that happened (though I have a few thoughts). I'll look into it.

Spooky i'm not sure about using the transcoder yet, haven't done any reading into it but thats why I tried to open it up so people can come up with there own combinations. Hopefully they will share there insight and help develop some good standard options.

Also glad to hear it started working for ya.

Vel_tins believe it or not that actually helps. When I rushed to re-write the Http server I kinda overlooked giving a 404 error when I file wasn't found (fixed for next build) which is why you get a blank page.

I'm guessing your using windows XP for your TvServer. Catch with that is the common application data path is different to vista and windows 7.

Instead of C:\ProgramData WindowsXP I believe uses "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data". I didn't (and still don't) know is this is 100% right which is why I didn't put it in the main post.

If you move the StreamTv folder with all the wwwroot, etc. content over then it should be good.

So the StreamTv folder should be something like: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\StreamTv

    Hope that helps.
