I've tracked down the problem and am able to reproduce it, though I don't know how or why I'm able to reproduce it now. For some reason the cookies aren't being validated. When you send a POST request with your login and password Newzbin replies with a redirect and sets your cookies. The address that you are redirected to then checks those new cookies and validates them on the server - basically activating them. For some reason I'm not catching the cookies in the first response and therefore they are not being validated because the plugin doesn't think it has them. I'm going to work on it this weekend and should have this all worked out by Monday. I think Newzbin may have changed something in the validation process.

Has anyone been able to use this correctly with xface skin?

It seems like the screen size is smaller on this skin.

eloo and I worked over the weekend to figure out what was going on. The cookie problems are now solved. We also found that having your report view listing style set to anything other than v3 attrs in table will cause some major problems. I'll work on supporting cypher view later on, but not right now.

Everything is fixed now and I'll post an updated beta build here tonight after I get off work.

Here's the fixed version. This is just a beta build and may very well have some bugs and features that you can see, but not use. It should be relatively stable, though.

Changes worth noting:
Newzbin should be 100% fixed. It is VERY important that you make sure that your report view listing style is set to NB V3 (attrs in table)!
A couple of bugs that would only occur when the plugin wasn't completely configured were fixed.
You can now specify the name of the plugin.

I'm going to finish adding some of the requested features and should be able to upload an actual release to the repository this weekend or next with all of that functionality and (hopefully) no major bugs. Let me know if this build fixes your Newzbin problems or not.

Also, huge thanks to eloo for being the guinea pig and helping me track down the Newzbin bugs.

The xface skin is in this rar. The sabnzbd screen isn't completely done yet, but the main My Usenet screen looks pretty good so far. This is still a work in progress, though.

Sweet plugin. Why not use the atom/rss feed instead of requiring the v3 attris in table preference?

Anyone know of a way to play rars in MP while the rar set is downloading, that would be orgasmic.

Thanks. I used to use the RSS feeds but they limited you to 20 results for anything you wanted to do. Just parsing the HTML allows for as many results as you've set you're retention to. I'll add support for other listing styles if people will post what style they are using.

Streaming from the rars has been discussed a lot but no one has ever actually implemented it in MediaPortal.
