My Videos - info text files and coverart support ? (1 Viewer)

The only way I know of is to go into the MP config and select "Video Database". Then allow it to index the your video files. It will do a IMDB scan and find the coverart and description. If you're talking about something custom, it would probably need a plugin.

You are right, that what i was looking for. But the xml file does not work for me. I created one and named it like the movie file, but the contents did not show within "my videos" when i select that movie...
Any idea?

I quickly tested again:
StreamedMP:
When selecting(not playing) the videoclip, the skin will show the text details. Then Playing the clip will also show it when pressing the i-button.
Blue3Wide:
When selecting(not playing) the videoclip, the skin will NOT show the text details. Then Playing the clip will show it when pressing the i-button.
So it seems to me that it is skin dependant.

I can see this information when selecting the folder which contains the xml and movie file, but not if i enter this folder and select the movie file directly (i also use Streamed MP)...

No, same name as video file (exept the extention)

also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
