MY Videos rework for MP 1.3.0 (1 Viewer)

It is a client machine the TV server is on another machine. so i only installed MediaPortal but in MP configuration there is no TV section to set up to attach to the TV server on the other machine..

It should be there if (as you say) the plugin is installed. Even with the TV plugin disabled in the plugins section of configuration, the TV setup options are still there.

Thanks elliottmc i'll uninstall and reinstall it and see if that helps.

Added new installer link. Full nfo support in GUI and user added actor image delete on actor refresh fixed (this doesn't mean that wo0zy's troubles are fixed ).

Ok, before we take extreme measures can you do something.

Reset database.

Start MP. Scan one movie (where is well know actor). See cast list and click on that actor if image will be visible in his Info screen.

If it's not there, go in config on that actor details and click Refresh actor (do not add image yourself).

If thumb is not visible. Stop and tell me here.

If is visible, quit config and start MP and try to click on that actor if thumb is visible in his info screen. If not tell me here .

I think I have some progress here .

Have created a new video library consisting of one movie only (Matrix Reloaded).

Before the results I just need to make one thing clear. I'm not manually adding any images through MP config. All I'm doing is clicking "refresh".

To the results;-

I used Keanu Reeves for the test. Still no actor image generated from within the MP GUI (on first or second refresh).

However (and this is different), if I now add the image via MP config (using "resfresh") the image remains in the GUI after entering/ viewing the actor details. However, if I then "refresh" the actor info (F9, option 1) the image is then deleted again (confirmed by checking the "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Videos\Actors" folder).

I also tried "Laurenace Fishburne" and exactly the same results.

One stupid thing, can you delete your temporary (Tmp and Temp) windows and user folders. Also delete internet cache (temporary Internet files) and try again.

If that doesn't help, replace database.dll in MP program directory with one in attachment, refresh one well know actor in GUI and send me a mediaportal.log.

I have it up and working with TV now I was wondering if there is a way to scan movies in the back round as it takes quite a while to scan 743 movies?

Unfortunately no as fetch process is linked with TV server code (not my idea, it was always like that because they share the same interface) and to break that I need to complete rewrite whole process from scratch.
