This is #1 plugin currently used in MP here (apple trailers only though), thank you very much for it !
Everything works really nicely, I have noticed only one problem - when selecting movie "CHE" there is no trailer listed (altough there is one on the apple homepage) so you can't see that trailer.
Apple Trailers is a great site for HD trailers - does any1 know of any other high quality trailer sites around? Currently I check also the IGN trailers - they are only in SD resolution though... but it does have a lot of trailers that Apple site lacks... especially the newer ones. Maybe it could be included here ? site: IGN Movies: Trailers, Movie Reviews, Pictures, Celebrities, and Interviews

Loving this plugin!

I noticed that there are plans to add download functionality. Are you aware of an old sourceforge project for downloading apple trailers:

It finished delevopment a while back, but still seems to function perfectly with the latest HD trailers on Apple.com. I thought the source may be useful to the plugin developer.

I keep getting the "unable to play file" error for the apple trailers.

I downloaded a trailer and opened it in GraphEdit

Video goes to ffdshow video decoder then to video renderer.
Audio goes to ffdshow audio decoder then to ac3 filter then to default directsound device.

It plays perfectly (audio through SPDIF, dolby digital)

What is going wrong INSIDE mediaportal?

I see this in the logfile:

Why is it playing perfectly in graphedit and not in MediaPortal?

I tried: AC3 Filter, MPA Decoder, ffdshow audio decoder.

All to no avail.

Also, when I played a .MOV in graphedit it used ac3 filter.
When I played a .mov in mediaportal (not via mytrailers, just myvideos) it works but DOESN'T use AC3 filter (just ffdshow audio decoder, mediaportal audio codec setting are on AC3 filter).

When i put AC3 filter as post-processing, it IS used.

This keeps getting weirder and weirder.

The codec settings inside MP configuration do not apply for mov, divx, mkv, avi file playback!

If you play a mov, then windows chooses the codecs to use, not mediaportal.

All i have installed is:

1. QuickTime Alternative (or install Quicktime from apple + quicktime direct show filter)
2. CoreAVC+Haali splitter
3. Divx7
4. MPV/MPA (re-registered to get high merit, to force that they get used by windows)

and i have no issue playing apple trailers inside MyTrailers.

I ended up uninstalling ALL my codecs/filters and installing Haali, SAF & CoreAVC.

Now everything is working as I want it
