Pls try downloading the filter here:

SourceForge.net: Files.

Pick mpchc_x86_v1.1.604.0_MPCVideoDec.zip from the list and install it like i described in my previous post.
I am curious if this will fix the problem.

The reason you see your TV card being "touched" is because the method i'm using is checking if tv/radio is on before starting the video but finally resolved to the default .play command LRFalk has mentioned.

Hi,
Tried the above file and it didn't seem to make a difference. Log attached.....

Cheers,
Colin

darn.. i'm gonna try some different playing methods now to see if it makes any difference.
can you try disabling exclusive mode and see if it works?

i saw you listed your Haali version as 1.6 - i use 1.7.189.11 and i just downloaded an even newer version here (1.8.122.18). It could also be that your ds merits are "wrong".

For more background information on troubleshooting DiectShow playback i found this nice wiki article. It's aimed at MC but most of the stuff in there applies to MP also (at least in this scenario). A list of tools (like graphedit etc..) can be found below the article. I really like to sort this thing out :) In the meantime i'm improving the plugin for those that don't have problems.

First of all thanks for the plugin and all the work you put into it!

If I start MyTrailers for the first time after starting MediaPortal, MyTrailers always jumps back to the Home screen. I have to repeat that for 3 or 4 times before MyTrailers finally shows me the list view with "just added", "hd only" ... For me it looks like MediaPortal always jumps back from MyTrailers to the Home screen as long as MyTrailers is still trying to get the needed data from the apple website. Would it be possible to add some function that prevents MyTrailers from jumping back to the Home screen?

    Hi,

I have updated my "test" pc to the latest Klite codec pack (including haali media splitter) and also the latest QT alternative. I also downloaded the latest haali media splitter from its homepage. It still doesn't seem to have any effect on the error in media portal.

Please note that when I copy and paste one of the .mov links into media player classic it streams and plays absolutely fine. I don't think this is codec related, or at least I have the right codecs installed to stream .mov files. Its more to do with MP or the way it handles codecs?

Thanks for your help and efforts with this as I am really keen to sort it out too. I love My Trailers!!

    Cheers,
    Colin

i still need to implement some background workers and progress indication though - don't know if that's the cause ... i'm testing on a 20mbit connection so everything is pretty instant here. This will be fixed for sure.. next "release" will be tomorrow morning maybe some that behaviour change for you.

    For the record:

My version is in fact a new plugin that could well become the next My Trailers but i need to discuss this with LRFalk01. For the time being i'm releasing it as "Movie Trailers" (how original ;) ). Fact is that the "old" My Trailers is to fixated on Yahoo Trailers and to add different sources is very challenging. I have taken another approach where the source of the trailers is just a provider to a generic GUI plugin. So currently i have a working trailer gui plugin and a working apple trailers provider. I only need to tweak the details of the interface between the gui plugin and the provider. Extra providers can then be added on the fly by adding just one new class file to the source (maybe even some simple rss feed provider).

MPC has is own internal codecs (where MPC Video Decoder is one of many) and it bypasses all the ds merits if i'm not mistaken. The problem may be that MP/the OS just picks the wrong combination of filters that can't handle the streaming. I'm new to Directshow and/or debugging these kind of problems so bare with me while i figure this out :p I also was surprised that the first time i tried streaming it worked ;)

Take your time. I really appreciate your efforts and I can imagine its a nightmare to undersatnd something when you are new to it all. I don't have a clue about these things so you're already doing much better than I ever could!!

The layout etc looks good and a logical way to lay things out to base the development on. Just keep up the good work and hopefully you can spot the cause of the rpoblem or another user may also be able to help.....

    Cheers,
    Colin
