MyTVSeries - Plugin that organizes TV Video Files (2 Viewers)

Should I implement an automatic file organizer to move and rename files?

I am really love this plugin, is a really nice and important feature of MediaPortal.

But I think it also should save the downloaded data in a single file for each episode. So a full import from the scratch is more faster and easier.

Problems Importing with My TV Series Plugin

    Hi,

I am really excited to get this plug in working as MeeTVShows was one of the features I used the most with Meedio, however i can't seem to get any files imported.

Is there a problem with TV.com, or am i don't something incorrectly?

When i run the 'test' it correctly parses the Series name, Season and Episode #s; but when i click 'start' this is the error message i get in the logs:

Could not find an exact match to series name in search results. Skipping to next filename as per options.
Seaching TV.com for matches on parsed series name.
    Parsed Information: Desperate Housewives - 1x1 -
    Regular Expression: '(?<series>[^$]*) (s|season |)(?<season>[0-9]{1,2})( |)(x|e|ep)(?<episode>[0-9]{1,2})(( |)(-( |)|))(?<title>[^$]*)
    Processing File: t:\series\desperate housewives\season 1\desperate housewives.s1e01.avi
    ---
Scanning folder for supported video files...

Here are some examples of my file naming convention:

    T:\series\24\season 1\24.s01e03.avi
    T:\series\Band of Brothers\Season 1\Band of Brothers.s01e02.avi
    T:\series\Desperate Housewives\Season 2\Desperate Housewives.s02.10.avi

I have tried setting the path to every different combination, from setting it to t:\series\ to T:\series\24\season 1\, with the same results.

I would really appreciate any help/insight anyone might be able to offer.

    Thanks!

skyhook, think there is a general problem with the way it parses the TV.com response (no doubt they have changed their site!), if you look at the last few posts many people (old and new) are experiencing the same problem.

Anyone know of another tv details site that might be easier for the developers to scrape the info from?

Problems Importing with My TV Series Plugin

That's too bad, this seems like such a great plug-in. is there anyone still working on this plug in. Can the source easily be edited to account for the changes on tv.com ?

This is like a few other plugins which would be suited for a standalone background plugin which should have a configuration for the TV.com website, then this TVSeries plugin could just call it to parse the website and any editing wouldn't need to be done in the source code. I thought James had talked about this at one point in time.

this really needs to get fixed asap :)

the most useful plugin is useless atm, as you cant add series manually (so that its easyish atleast) so your left with an incomplete series archive (cant parse some of my shows, like friends)

    A Subject goes here...

So the swelling is starting to go down after the surgery several surgical pins later and a nice set of scars...

Oh enough of the whinging :)

    I'm back!

I've got some work to catch up on obviously but should be starting work on this on the weekend.

I'm keen to make this plugin what it should be. I'll also be releasing source code this time round...
