Hi ivanjong,
You don't have to install any speech recognition engine on Vista, although you may want to install additional language interpreters. I'm assuming you're using one of the english versions.
Did you install the XP version of myVoice on your Vista machine? Make sure you uninstall it first before installing the Vista version (especially the various DLL's).
Also, make sure you have put the myVoice folder from the zip's ProgramData folder into your MediaPortal Program Data folder.
You can get to it via:
Start->Team Mediaportal->User Files
