PS: This plugin still has an awesome WAF.

PS2: Don't know, what your priorities are, but what about streetview?!? I'm sure, google will never stop to map our world and other cities (other than san f. and ny) will follow.

Ok here comes the brief description how to use the sms style text insertion...

Here is a screenshot of my remote config:

As you can see, I have created a new action that is raising the REMOTE_0 action id the virtual keyboard is active. That means all other areas of MediaPortal stay unchanged.

Do the same for the 2 to 0 buttons. And everything should work.

Cursor left means backspace as long as the selected button is one of the first column.
Cursor up means switching the shift mode as long as the selected button is one of the first row.

Give me a feedback if it works your you. I personally was surprised how well it works.

There is one thing I forgot to mention:
The google maps image download is more reliable now. So try to set up your simultaneous download to 5 like it is done for other map types. That speeds up the download time of those maps dramatically.

"UP" key

When I press UP key, the map goes up but the control bar appear on the top. I can not press UP, UP, UP for go up the map. I must press UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN,...

How I can hide the control bar in this -fantastic- plugin?

Allthough this has already been answered:

Hi patricon.

I know this one... It's already in the known bugs (first thread).
Currently the only chance is to disable the topbar plugin completely. I will investigate this problem in a later version.

This is pretty easy to overcome... The workaround is just to disable the top-bar plugin in the configuration.

esr87w: I just stumble upon a potential solution... all you have to do is to add "<disabletopbar>yes</disabletopbar>" below the "<allowoverlay>no</allowoverlay>" entry of the MyWorldMap.xml of your used skin. This will disallow the topbar only for this plugin.

If that works for you I will integrate this in the next release.

@ lkuech, the "Progressbar Placeholder" doesn't seem to want to respond to PosX and PosY changes . I've tried using B2 and ReVision. I've tried it using the "Refresh" plugin and starting MP again. Any help would be appreciated...

Mhh, normally it should work. You have to use the dll of version 0.4 from the repository not the version I have send you before. The position of the Progressbar is different between "Blue Two" and "Blue Two wide" and on my test system it seems to work fine. I will have a deeper look at it tomorrow.
