Ok here comes the brief description how to use the sms style text insertion...

Here is a screenshot of my remote config:

As you can see, I have created a new action that is raising the REMOTE_0 action id the virtual keyboard is active. That means all other areas of MediaPortal stay unchanged.

Do the same for the 2 to 0 buttons. And everything should work.

Cursor left means backspace as long as the selected button is one of the first column.
Cursor up means switching the shift mode as long as the selected button is one of the first row.

Give me a feedback if it works your you. I personally was surprised how well it works.

The sms style keyboard works really well!

However I'd like to use some remote buttons for the different toggle keys to change between GM/VE. The problem is that those buttons are already used for other parts of MediaPortal i.e. watching TV. If I could add a condition for for WorldMap plugin I could map those keys for this plugin only, just like the Virtual Keyboard condition. Now I can't find any WorldMap plugin in the Condition/Window drop down list.

Would it be possible to add it somehow?

Unfortunately there is no way to expand the list of known windows in the remotes section. So no...

Normally its not me that creates support for other skins than blue two. That's because it will be too much work too support all skins ... and the real reason ... I'm not really talented in skinning and every skin has his own "philosophy" how controls are arranged. So from my point of view it makes more sense to let the skin creator to support all major plugins.

I also noticed that. I will try to find the new URLs at Monday. (I need a special tool to "sniff" the traffic of GM...)

Hi @ll.

Google has change the Url's again. (This time they change the urls for the aerial maps)

To be able to use these kind of maps again you have to change the urls yourself (till the next version of the plugin comes with an updated list of it).

In the config of the plugin do the following:

• * Select the tab "Tile URL's"
• * Change the the "Google Aerial Url" from "http://kh{0}.google.com/kh?n=404&v=19&t={1}" to "http://khm{0}.google.com/kh?n=404&v=99&t={1}"
• * Change the the "Google Road Url" from "http://mt{0}.google.com/mt?n=404&v=w2.52&x={1}&y={2}&zoom={3}" to "http://mt{0}.google.com/mt?n=404&v=w2.99&x={1}&y={2}&zoom={3}"
• * Change the the "Google Overlay Url" from "http://mt{0}.google.com/mt?n=404&v=w2t.53&x={1}&y={2}&zoom={3}" to "http://mt{0}.google.com/mt?n=404&v=w2t.99&x={1}&y={2}&zoom={3}"
• * Leave the config via the ok button

As you can see all you have to change is the "version" thing in the urls and one additional letter in the GMAerial URL.
