Uhm, i can't find that option in my profile. Where do i find it?
In the context menu in ONlineVideos. Select Netflix, do not enter it, press F9 on keyboard or i/more/info on remote to open context menu, scroll down in menu and you will find the setting.

Thanks for your work on this plugin. A couple of observations based on my limited use, since I too suffer from the popup dialog .net error and no browser launches. Win 7 x64 and IE 11.0. Also accessing US based netflix over dns proxy.

Each new use requires me to select profile. It always defaults to the first in the list. It should save and reuse until a different is selected.
When I choose browse, I see plently of movie genres but when i select the TV Show section, it provides no genre option.
I had to tweak in OV settings, a timeout value from 15 to 30 secs, otherwise I had about 50% failure on initial login loading categories.

Just installed this Netflix on OV, can't get it to play though. Got latest versions of MP and OV. Using the UK site. It connects to my account fine, I can browse and select something to play, then when I click to play it MP hides away and the browser player opens up, I see a spinning blue wheel while it connects/buffers, then after 5 seconds or so this closes down and MP comes back. I've tried increasing webrequest to 30 sec in the OV settings but playback fails within 3-5 seconds regardless. I've cleared all cache and cookies for IE, rebooted the machine, restarted MP, etc. Netflix works fine in IE on the same system. Any suggestions? Should I be posting logs?

This plugin seems to have stopped working for me. I've turned the "Show loading spinner" to false so I can see what's happening and I see the plugin logging into Netflix successfully, choosing my profile, but then comes to the same screen with the program I have watched previously (not the one I chose to watch in MP), stays for a few seconds and then closes back to MediaPortal.

Are there logs that I can post to help with debugging?

:( Hopefully new OV release fix this problem.

Tried this before releasing first version, didn't always work as expected so I decided to always load the master/owner profile at launch.

The behavior seems normal, I think you are getting a timeout (max 15s timeout is used in BrowserPlayer). Before the Browser automation go to the actual video to play this page has to load completely. Have you tried the remember log-in setting? Then the login faze of automation can be skipped if you previously have been loged in.

Thanks that was indeed the solution @Statick
So it works for you now? Then (y)! The loading spinner is just cosmetics, so that couldn't fixed your problem, it might just be that you have installed the latest version.

Just tried using the "remember log-in" setting. This makes things a little quicker, but it still comes to an old video info screen and then returns to MP.

When I try Netflix in the browser it all seems to work normally so I'm a little confused by this behaviour.

Try to clear cookies and cache in IE, do not browse to Netflix in the browser. Open OV and pick av video to play in the "Browse" category.

Also time the whole process, from opening the browser/playing a video until the browser window closes.

This is probably what I should have done, but what fixed it was changing profiles, then changing back to my profile (the one that had the problem). I have 3 profiles in Netflix (including me) for family members so changing profiles seemed to work.

I'd say you are right - clearing cookies and cache would have sorted this problem also.

Thanks for all the prompt help.

    Hello everyone,

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I get an error that no one of you has described yet, or that I at least could not find within the previous posts:

I run Mediaportal 1.9 with the latest OV-Version 1.9.0.0 on a Windows 7 HTPC. IE 11 was already installed, Silverlight I installed before trying to use Netflix via OV for the first time. Internet connection is working. I inserted my email-address in the username-field of the settings page of Netflix in OV, and my password in the password field, correspondingly.

I do not even get to see any browser when I try to open the Netflix-page in OV, but get a popup error message that says "Error loading profiles. Please try again". Now I do not know if I have to add something else inside the username field or am missing something else like that, and because nobody but me seems to have this problem, I start to think that I might be the only one who does not understand how to set things up correctly :)

I checked and double checked username and password, updated the sites and cleared browser data (though I never even visited the Netflix page from this PC before). And of course, I own a valid German Netflix account.

Can anyone of you tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I can so to further localize the issue? If I can provide you with data that can help please let me know!

Thank you everyone for your support!

    Best regards, mindm49907

@MrGhost reported the same problem in message #190, we discussed the problem some, but I don't now if it works for him now or not.
I have noticed this error one time myself, then it was a temporary error on netflix.com.

Have you updated your Online Videos sites? If no or you are uncertain do it from the manage sites inside OnlineVideos.

Do you have any profiles except the default one? If not please create one more.

If this this doesn't solve your problems can you please send me a PM with the HTML source code of https://www.netflix.com/ProfilesGate and https://www.netflix.com/WiHome. Browse to those pages with javascript disabled.
