Netflix for OnlineVideos (11 Viewers)

Good morning guys,

last night I encountered a complete new problem. Before that I never had any problems.
Since yesterday (could be longer than that - haven't used netflix for appr. two weeks) I can't open any netflix video within mp (browser works).
Whenever I try to start a video I will get a white screen for a second but then it will return to the netflix mp menu.
Anybody else having seen this?

That is a known problem with the current browser player, not handling non OV2.0 dlls.
If you look in onlinevideos.log you will notice something like this, note the warning:

[04-09 21:09:00,499] [OVInit      ] [WARN ] Error loading SiteUtils and Hosters: Could not load type 'OnlineVideos.Hoster.Base.HosterBase' from assembly 'OnlineVideos, Version=2.0.0.3592, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

Goto http://onlinevideos.nocrosshair.de and sort the list by Creator. Check what sites that corresponds to the dll (in the example above bw_fotoart) and remove all those sites from your sites in OV config. If you can't find any sites @offbyone might have deleted them because they haven't been updated for OV2.0.
After this remove the dll from the onlinevideos plugin folder.

Hi @Rico, i had this problem some times ago. It was after updating OV to v2.0.
You should find that one or two pages upper...

When watching Netflix the video goes black after 10 minutes due to the screen saver kicking in. Is it possible for the Netflix plugin to disable the screen saver like MediaPortal does?

@Jason Pyke maybe SetThreadExecutionState(ES_DISPLAY_REQUIRED)?

Edit: and maybe ES_SYSTEM_REQUIRED to prevent system from going to sleep, you use power scheduler for this though.

I've committed an update which does just that @Ministerk. I guess we need to arrange a new release of OV for this and the other fix.

Is there a setting somewhere so that the mouse cursor becomes visable when it is moved, when inside netflix - like the cursor works inside Mediaportal?

Not really without logs and error message, but you could try the solution in post #291 above (others do not get any error message, so it might not be your problem).

I figure I'm missing something here. I've installed the most recent OnlineVideos and can get to a few things (youtube, for example) but can't even find netflix.

When I go into "manage sites" I see what appears to be two panes that might contain information but they're both empty. Automatic update flashes up a popup but there's still nothing showing afterwards. There are no errors reported in the log file.

In the sites list in the configuration dialog I do see netflix.

Where should I start looking?

PS I'm in Australia and netflix works fine in a browser for me..
