Hi,

realy realy cool thing. Loving it to watch Netflix on my Mediaportal.

Everything works fine except one thing:

When watching Streams i have micro stuttering during playback.
I have done all steps from the first post for smooth playback but it does not help.
Maybe it is the silverlight plugin? Do you guys have smooth HD playback?

Read about Chrome is using HTLM5 player instead of silverlight. Is there an option to switch to chrome? I think silverlight is anyway a dead end ....... HTML5 will be the future for netflix.

Another point is the DD5.1 audio. Not supported by silverlight or any browser-based playback... so WTF?
Even my useless chromecast stick is supporting DD5.1. Is anyone enjoying DD5.1 sound on Netflix?
XBox One is supported............. LOL

Its reealy a bad thing Netflix is focusing on all other devices except the PC playback.

But anyway i want to have only a stutter free playback for make this netflix thing useable for me.

Can anyone help me? Do you have any ideas?

It varies, sometimes and sometimes not. There's one known problem/bug in MP with high cpu usage when MP is suspended state. High cpu load can lead to stuttering.

No, sorry. The browser player is a part of the OnlineVideos plugin and uses standard .NET components, hence we're "stuck" with IE. It might be possible to implement a ChromePlayer, but this is nothing I could or would do - maybe someone some day can do this.

I think there are big bucks in other devices with licensing fees and what not.

Well you can check what refresh rate the content you're watching in the silverlight player with the keyboard shortcut ctrl+alt+shift+d and change your graphics card setting to match the "Video Frames" value. (At the moment you can not do this inside the browser player, but i might map the shift+1 command in mp to this some day)

After spending some hours with Netflix i found out that some HD videos stutter more and some stutter less. I was not able to figure out why they do this. Maybe it has to deal with the videos bitrate and the more cpu power need........... but it is just a guess.

Maybe we don´t need Chrome, just having HTML5 player instead of Silverlight would be great. But i don´t know if IE can / will support this HTML5 player in the future. As far as i know the HTML5 player is only useable with Windows 8 ? I´m still on Windows 7 and won´t change this in the next years. Someone played around with HTML5 already? Is it running with a better performance...........

Yes maybe............ but there is no stuttering on my mobile phone :D

I've not noticed any problems, but I always use My List. Going to see if I can reproduce this later in the evening CET.

    Thanks !

for example orange is the new black, marco polo, daredevil....
Some of the Original series work and some don't. (Orange and Daredevil failed but Marco Polo and all other I looked at worked as before).

I have made a workaround, going to test it out some and publish the change later on.
I don't know how long it will work since the thing generating the error is a server error/stacktrace text preceding the actual data - this can imply that the web call I'm doing no longer are supported and it might stop working soon (but it can also mean that they have temporary server problems).

    EDIT:
I have updated the Netflix site now

    Good morning guys,

last night I encountered a complete new problem. Before that I never had any problems.
Since yesterday (could be longer than that - haven't used netflix for appr. two weeks) I can't open any netflix video within mp (browser works).
Whenever I try to start a video I will get a white screen for a second but then it will return to the netflix mp menu.
    Anybody else having seen this?
