I found the problem and it is working now!

When I originally installed the TV Server on Windows Home Server, I had to rename two files to get it working (actually should be the case with all WHS installations as this is a standard bug fix for WHS) :
SetupTV.exe.config ==> Setup.config and
TVService.exe.config ==> TVService.config

In the meantime I have updated the TV Server several times to Version 1.2.2, but never touched the renamed files ==> so they stayed in their old versions. This never had a visible impact on the server, until now.
SetupTV.exe.config and TVService.exe.config actually looked like yours. I renamed the new ones as above and voila, connector is working

Basically people who encounter that problem need to add the <bindingRedirect> element to their configuration files.

Hi,

I just updated the LightsOut Connector plugin to version 0.1.12.115. This version fixes a problem when restarting the server from standby or hibernation. Also a missing "tasklist.xml" file is created even when there are no schedules to be exported.

Thanks for the Update. But it looks like that the new version does not work with 1.3 Alpha ?

EDIT:

Found the problem. tasklist.xml is orginal generated by LO. So the Plugin generates TaskList.xml.
I have deleted the orginal one. So a new TaskList.xml is generated. Now it works.

So would be great if the a new update generates also a tasklist.xml

Yep. The plugin ( it looks like ) ignore the existing file. I have deleted them, an a new file was generated by the plugin. Then everything was fine.

That is pretty strange. I use File.Exists() to check whether or not tasklist.xml exists. On my WHS it simply ignores the case of the filename. Also the following sample code snippet makes me believe that File.Exists() ignores the character case: "http://www.java2s.com/Code/CSharp/File-Stream/Checksifagivenfileexists.htm"

Is it possible that there was an authorization conflict with the first "tasklist.xml" file? Maybe the user of the "TVService" job was not allowed to access the original file. The attached "File.Exists.exe" clearly demonstrates that File.Exists() is not case sensitive. Try it yourself, if you like.

Hallo, ich habe Lightsout installiert, auf meinem WHS, dieses funktioniert auch wunderbar. Jetzt habe ich das Plugin hier installiert, doch dieses findet in dem Standardordner keine TaskList.xml und auf dem ganzen Laufwerk C auch nichts, wobei Lightsout dahin installiert ist.

die MediaPortal TV-Server Version ist 1.2.2.0

Muss ich nur die TaskList.xml in "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\LightsOut\" erzeugen als leeres Dokument?

Oder heißt diese seit Lightsout 1.5.3.1805 anders?

Also eigentlich wird die Tasklist.xml durch das "LightsOut Connector" Plugin angelegt, wenn die Datei im angegebenen Verzeichnis nicht existiert. Im "LightsOut Connector" Log sieht das dann wie folgt aus:

Hast du die aktuelle Version (0.1.12.115) des "LightsOut Connector" Plugins installiert?

Kannst du bitte mal das Log einschalten und dann hier posten?

Eventuell handelt es sich auch um ein Berechtigungsproblem. Kannst du bitte mal das Programm "File.Exists.exe" herunterladen, starten, die Datei "Tasklist.xml" auswählen und auf den Button "File.Exists()" klicken? Das Programm ruft lediglich die Methode File.Exists() auf, um zu prüfen, ob die angegebene Datei existiert.



Groß- und Kleinschreibung sollte dabei keine Rolle spielen.
