    Hi,

Im testing this new patched tsreader tonight, the last one was so unstable in my system that i couldnt use it. :(
This new tsreader seemed more stable, until i rebooted my system...

The problem i have now is that almost every channel i tune into is freezing within 5-30 seconds.. The subtitles is still there... and is displaying... (Im uploading a few examples now, in the directory "crimz", with logs attached)

Crimz: I was having the same problem for the last couple of days, and it was driving me slightly crazy. I tried reinstalling MediaPortal and TVE3, but this didn't help. Then I tried reinstalling the drivers for my FloppyDTV, and that did the trick.

Seems like you have right here... I was so frustrated that i deceided to reinstall the whole pc with Vista... (But that was a big waste of time) i had in mind that vista really could suck on my pc, so i made a backup...

Restored the backup and everything worked as earlier yesterday.... Strange...

Im testing this new patched tsreader tonight, the last one was so unstable in my system that i couldnt use it.

    Just one clarification:

The patched teletext tsreader is mostly for those that cannot live without teletext while i move the teletext code out of the filter and into MP itself. It is not something i need tested as it will be replaced by the new/moved teletext code (but it would annoy me slightly if the old code worked perfectly now, and the previous problems were due to bugs elsewhere in TsReader).

The 'new' teletext code is currently being tested only by me, and as mentioned above i wouldn't mind more test samples.

Ive allso insalled the "patched" tsreader (latest), and with my firedvt s2 card it works 99%-- Only negative thing (and it is not soo negative....) is sometime when ive want to use teletext it can be hard to enable...it will not just start, and when going from one channel to anoter teletext channel, i can be forced to just enable/disable the TV, and then it pops and shows the text.

So in my case it is close to done...:)

But im looking forward to see what u ppl have to come..;)

I think this post will annoy you slightly ;)... But i hope your new code is far better then the previous.. :)

Yes i know this issue... And because of what tourette? written in his post, i deceided to try it out... My system has gone stable without crashing for about 8 hours now... Thats a huge improvment, especialy because of if would crash if i used timeshift functionality, and it would def. have crashed because of time... That issue seems solved atleast for me...

The only problem i have, and its similar to jojjal's problem... There can be a problem enabling teletext... And when i change channels it will disapear...

How many minutes do the samles need to be?

Thats quite interesting, i was suspecting some memory corruption somewhere in TsReader previously, and it might have been solved now.
I would really like to know if it does work flawlessly now (as in no crashes) because then i might alter my implementation strategy slightly (though i will still want to keep most of it in MP/C#, also to support misterd's efforts at providing a teletext module that works with TsReader).

The only problem i have, and its similar to jojjal's problem... There can be a problem enabling teletext...

A teletext subtitle page is not available for selection until the first page arrives or until its shows up in the DVB Service information. If you stay a while on the channel can you then enable it?

And when i change channels it will disapear...

Thats as expected :) Again, annoyance will disappear once automatic selection is implemented.

How many minutes do the samles need to be?

As long as you feel comfortable uploading :) Files of size 50-100mb are fine.

    Hi,

As you probably have seen now, i have uploaded a few samples from different channels...

After intensive testing tonight, i feel that i can say that it doesent crash like before, but have a few issues...
Some of the problems can be adressed to my cam.. (like shifting of channels and the slow/lack of response)

Some problems like i start at the norwegian channel Nrk3 and change to Discovery, the only subs avail. is:
    p.779 (1/2)
    p.777 (2/2)
    "subtitle?"
But no one of the subtitles is showing...

If i change to Canal+ Film 2 i get the following choices:
    fin
    dan
    swe
    nor
    p.779 (1/6)
    p.777 (2/6)
The result is like Discovery, no subtitles shown at all.. When i try watch the sample in vlc it contains several subtitles:) (record of Canal+ Film2 will be uploaded (the sample should contain ac3 sound)

I cannot always reproduce this... sometimes, sometimes not...

Sometimes the subtitles function when i change channels, sometimes they dont function.
But one ting is forsure, if the subs disappear, its only turn on/off tv and then everything is fully functionall again...

I hope this is minor and expected problems in code :)

Crimz, I can more or less echo your experience to the letter.
Some channels (eg BBC Prime) have English subs on 888, if I select that no subs will come anyway.
Also a few other channnels (eg Nat Geo and History) don't show the Finnish subs, sometimes I get Swedish but sometimes not :)

MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC3 is the most stable MP i have tried
    Damn good work
But it seems that im missing a thing
When i record TV in Mpeg (i set up format in tvserver) then there is black screen but sound.
If i set up TVServer to record in TS files, then there is no problems at all
    What am I missing ??
And the files i have recorded in Mpeg.. can i convert/change them så i can watch them

    Keep up the brilliant wort

    Best Regards
